Here's another one for my every lovely and patient readers. I would have updated sooner but I hit a road block half way through and then again when I reached Conner spiel. I was very indecisive at the details I gave but I think it's alright. Feel free to tell me what you think.
Anyways, enjoy and I'll keep going on with Chapter 62.
Chapter 61
AriaThe hall way I travelled down was dark and gloomy. Fire torches hung from handles every dozen yards, giving the hallway an eerie and creepy feel to it. I seemed to know where I was going, yet I didn't. I was rushing down the endless maze of dimly light halls. I gripped something in my hand tighter. It felt like a key, but why would I have a key? I can feel myself moving my hand to my chest and feeling four more keys attached to a string around my neck. More keys? Why do I have so many keys?
Suddenly, everything turned black and I was falling. I yelped in fright and grunted when I hit solid ground. Unprepared for the abrupt stop, I fell to one side with another grunt, this time in pain. Everything was still dark, as black as the eyes can see. "Hello," I called as I took a few hesitant steps forward, making sure to feel around so I won't take another sudden drop, before placing my foot firmly on the ground. I haven't felt this uncomfortable since leaving Blood Moon.
I started running my clammy hands down my thighs and I noticed the key I had in my hand was gone. I checked around my neck and it was the same thing. "What the?" I whispered. I wasn't sure why, but I could feel myself panic. Those keys are important, very important, but for what? Why are they so important?! I started looking around for them in a great panic. I needed to find them... Where are they?! I started to hyperventilate when I saw a light over my right shoulder. I turned towards nervously. I'm not dying, am I?
Walking towards it slowly, I notice it's just a floating ball of light and I relaxed a bit. So I'm not dying... Hopefully. I hesitantly reached out to touch the ball and it expanded, almost blinding me. When I looked again, I saw the ball of light turned into five, making a pentagon circle around me. Upon closer inspection, I noticed they were the keys. Each one a different design from the last. "What the hell?" I muttered as I took in each keys design. If these keys are important as I think they are, then I'm going to have to memorise them so Jon or Aaron can draw them for me.
"Find them." A soft voice whispered and I spun around to look for the source of it. "Hello?" I called out. "Find them." The voice said again. "Find what?" I asked totally confused. "The Keys, find the keys." She said. It was definitely a female's voice. "Why? What's so special about a bunch of old keys?" I asked. "You find them, you find us." She whispered, making me more confused. "Find who? Your not making any sense!" I yelled into the darkness. "Find them, then find us," "Find us," "Find them," "We'll help you," "Find them," "Win this war." "Find us," "We can help," "Just find us," "Find them," "We'll help you," "Find us," "And you'll help us," "Find them," "There many things you don't know," "Find us," "Things you need to know," "Find us, "Just find us!"
"Aria!"
I bolted awake with a shout and scrambled back until my back hit the headboard. I was hyperventilating and I quickly realised I was in a cold sweat. "Hey, it's okay. I'm here, I'm here." Chase soothed my and accidentally flinched from his touch. His look of hurt brought me out of my head. "C-Chase?" I stuttered. "I'm here, love." He whispered softly as he hesitantly touched my cheek. I immediately hugged the living life out of him. His only protest was a grunt but didn't say anything else as he hugged me back. "A, you okay?" Andrew asked as he reached over a still sleeping Drake.
I took a few deep breath before nodding that I was alright and I slowly released my mate. Okay, that definitely not a dreamless sleep. 'No shit, Sherlock.' Sapphire snarled. 'Shut it! Our human is spooked enough for one night!' Aiyana growled and Sapphire whimpered in submission. "What happened?" Drew asked softly. Unable to say it with words, I showed them. "What the hell?" My twin exclaimed, accidentally waking Drake. "Ngh, what's wrong?" He groaned still half asleep until he saw me huddled against Chase like a frightened kitten. He sat straight up, worried and took hold of my right hand.
