Chapter 37
Aria's P.O.V
Drake's mark -->
I wake up about 7 the next morning in bed, next to my mate, my Chase. He has a hold on one of my hands, resting in between our bodies and our legs intertwined. I smiled faintly as I watched him sleep. I must have been watching him for an hour because when I looked to the clock again and it's 8:07. I gently untangled my limbs form his, quietly dressed and left, but not before kissing Chase's forehead.
He whimpered and rolled over, clutching the sheets. I made my way to the Dinning room, finding Lara, Kyle, Angie, Viola, Drake, Marcus, Kieran, Hart, Tristan and Lilly all ready there. "Morning Ari." Angie greeted me. "Morning love." I replied. "Morning guys." I said to the others. "Morning Aria." They replied. "How are you feeling?" I asked Drake. "Alright I guess. I think I have to drink a gallon of blood to feel normal again." He replied. I just rubbed his shoulders and I felt his muscles relax against my hand. "How the hell did they get the collar on you anyway? I've seen you fight Drake, getting a collar on you would be impossible!" Kieran said.
"I don't know?! I remember a flash of a black cloak, red and black hair, and bright red eyes, then everything went black.... I don't know whether that's real or not." Drake replied. "At least you remember something else than what you gave us yesterday." Angie said. I nodded and went to get something to eat. When I came back, Jason, Nicholas and Jason's Delta had come in. "Drake? How did you break the chain? No one has ever broken it before!" Nicholas asked. Drake looked to Viola. "Drake. I've been honest with you, I would like the same in return." I said gently.
Drake sighed and again, looked at his Mother. "Very well then." Viola said. "You know how vampire's used to have a King and Queen?" Drake said. "Yes..." I said warily. "I'm the Royal Vampire Heir." Drake said hesitantly. "What!" Angie exclaimed as I stood there shocked, unable to form words. "The reason why we didn't tell you is because the damn Vampire Council is after us for no real reason." Drake said. "Plus, I've been watching you Aria Knight.... From the day you were born to yesterday, the power your ancestor me gave for safekeeping, started getting stronger with each passing birthday you had. You were the only person to keep Drake under control when he turn 17." Viola added.
"So you told me what I was a few days better hand and instinctively, I found Aria." Drake asked Viola. "Yes, because your wolf was guiding you to her. Both your wolf and vampire trust her." Voila answered. Drake and I were speechless to say the least. "For an unknown reason, you two seemed to connect easily." Viola said more to herself, than us. I looked into Drake's and I's bond, it's the same type of bond I have with Andrew and Justin. "Well?" Viola asked. She like's using that word a lot. "It's the same type of bond I share with Andrew and Justin." I said. Drake looked at me confused and I at him
"Did Drake drink from you at all Aria?" Viola asked. Drake hissed in hatred at the thought of drinking my blood. I thought it over and.... "If I remember correctly, I think Drake few drops before." I said. Drake looked deep in though, before realisation took over his features. "It'll only take a few drops to bond with us." Viola said. "Say again?" Kieran asked. "A family bond only takes a few drops of blood, but they have to share each others blood to finish it." Viola explained. "And it's not reversible." She added. "So that's why you come when-" "When you call me." Drake finished.
"You'll be able to call her too Drake. That is if she has had your blood." Viola said. "No, she hasn't." Drake said slowly. "Hmmm...." Was all she said. "Wait! Didn't the Vampire Royals have a mark of their own?" Marcus asked. "Yes. They did. They had a tribal rose mark. It was coloured black, grey and red." Lara answered. "If you are who you say you are, show us the mark!" Hart demanded harshly and Drake and Viola growled in warning. "Enough!" I yelled and Drake stopped immediately, Viola growled for a second or two longer before stopping.
