Chase

I tapped my fingers against my elbow impatiently as Justin and I wait for Andrew to arrive. It shouldn't take this long to find a finished assessment.

"Where is he?" Justin muttered. I don't answer; I just watch the school gate and waited for Andrew's car to show. "It doesn't take this long."

"I know it doesn't, stop complaining," I replied.

"Maybe he's having trouble finding it," he muttered.

"Maybe," Justin kept on complaining and I zoned him out.

You shouldn't have taken her food, my wolf, Levi said.

Not now, Levi,

She didn't have anything to eat since dinner the day before last. She's hungry,

I don't care, I replied in a monotone.

That's a lie and you know it, he growled before disappearing into the back of my head. I clenched my jaw and closed my eyes. It wasn't like I had much of a choice. The pack was watching, and the Beta was there watching. If he saw me going easy on her, he would have reported it.

"There he is," Justin exclaimed, and I'm snapped out of thoughts. I followed his line of sight and watched Andrew's Honda park at the back. Justin and I looked at each other and stalked towards the vehicle. I saw him grab his bag, hop out of the car and closed the door. He stood straight and turned to face us, his face blank and his eyes hard and cold. I swallowed as I took in his tensed body; I hated how he turned out, how Justin and I made him be. He shouldn't be like this.

"See, got the fricking thing, couldn't find it," Andrew said before we could why he took so long.

"Then you should clean up your room, it's always a mess," Justin replied. Andrew rolled his eyes and rudely replied, "Yes, mum." Justin growled at him for the disrespect and opened his mouth to lecture or even punish him.

"Enough," I interrupted quickly. "Did you see Aria?" I kept my tone neutral and disinterested. I don't care about her, I shouldn't care about her.

Yet you do, Levi said suddenly.

Shut up, I shouted.

You care about her, Chase, you can't deny that. Why else would you give her low standing punishments or give her a room fit for a high-ranking member,

I said shut up!

"Yes, but only to tell her to hurry her ass up, otherwise she'll get another beating," Andrew replied.

"Good. She's already been late once this morning if she is late to school, she will get her ass kicked...again." I forcibly growled before I turned on my heels and storming into school. I couldn't stand there for another second. Between them and Levi, I was going to break down. I managed to calm down when I reached my locker. I could hear them following me to the blasted tin box and I opened it to grab my books before I followed my boys to their lockers. I just this day to be over already.

"Chasey," Kara's terrible screech reach my ears and Andrew audibly groaned. Next thing I know, a weight suddenly attached itself to my back. It nearly sent me face planting into the ground.

"Kara, get off and how many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that," I growled.

"But baby," Kara whined.

"Oh, shut up, Kara. It's too early to hear your annoying voice," Andrew growled, and she slid off my back.

"Fuck off, Delta-mutt," she sneered. My eyes widened, and I turned to glare at her but before I could lecture her, I see Andrew drop his book and lunge at her. Justin jumped behind him and locked his arms around his torso and imprisoned him against his chest. Andrew struggled against him as Justin whispered in his ear.
