Please read this. It's an explanation and there's a multiple choice at the end.
I know I've said this a million times already, fellas but I'm sorry I haven't updated yet. However, this time is more serious than the previous times. Before I start explaining, I would like to thank everyone for liking my book, especially for making ALMR too reach the ranking lists, and for not pressing me to update as I am sure you all were waiting patiently for.
Now for the explanation: when I last posted my apologies for not updating in a while, I had a designing assessment due that week. I thought it was due at the end of the week; Friday, but it was barely an hour after I posted it, I found out from a classmate it was due the next day at the end of class at 2 pm. Me being an imbecile, I started the assignment that morning, thinking I had the time because honestly, the assessment wasn't that hard. It was just an A3 poster drawn on the computer with two written information pieces to back it up, to which I already started writing. And roughly, for the next 24 hours, I was basically a mess. I rushed to download the apps I needed and to finish it before the deadline.
Running on 4-5 hours of sleep (don't really remember), I finish the poster, scanned one of my written information pieces into a pdf file (as I did it by hand) and finished the other one but wouldn't save into a pdf file. I'm panicking, my breathing laboured and I'm struggling to not bursts into sobs. It was minute passed the deadline when I save it normally and placed the files in the submission area online. Then it wouldn't submit. I reread the criteria the tutor gave us and realised that it all needs to be in one large file. So, I'm stuck over saving the second written piece into a pdf and I panicked over that for over an hour until my Dad came home and had to download another app to merge the files. When I did finally merge them, it still wouldn't submit and I learned that the file is corrupted. I had to resave everything, minus the scanned copy, and remerge it before trying to submit it again. It still wouldn't submit. Redid the process again and my Dad suggested that it might the size of the file, it was. It took close to five minutes for it to go through...nearly three hours later.
Honestly, I think I may have scared my sister a little. I was screaming, crying, throwing and hitting things, and by the end of it, I was exhausted. I could barely stand when I went to take a shower and what ticked me off most was the lack of direction, guidance and knowledge the tutor failed to give out and it pissed me off, even more, was that the week after, I asked whether I would receive any penalty for the late submission and he replied: "Did you get it in before Friday?"
I missed that class to finish this assignment and he never thought to email the absent students to let them know of his decision to extend the due date. After that, I just didn't care anymore. It was halfway into the semester and had several more assessments due before midyear break arrived. I struggled with the rest of my assignments, one was submitted two days late. The very last one. Luckily, I was terribly ill and my tutor had a heart of an angel. By the time everything was said and done, I was emotionally exhausted and remained thus until about a week before the second-semester start, roughly a month after. I honestly feel terrible for not updating in so long but I needed time to myself to get myself back on track. So, thank you again for those of you who wish for an update but not pressing me for it.
Now for the good news, I worked on the next chapter and finished it, and now I am working on the next one. I was planning on waiting until I finished the chapter I am currently working on to give you a double update as a treat but since it's been so long, I'll leave it up to you guys whether you want me to upload the next chapter. If this is what you choose, it may be a day or two so I can properly edit it. Also, I've written the prophecy as well. If you have the time, could you read it and tell me what you think and whether it makes sense to what you've already read? I'll admit, some parts won't be answered until the last book It. Ends. NOW! but you may get the idea at the chapter before the epilogue and that's not far. This time I mean that. I'll try and finish the book in the next five chapters because if I keep going as I am, I may get to Chapter 100. In saying this, I don't want just reads or votes; leave comments for me so I know what you guys think. Be mindful as well, I'm not very good at rhyming; especially with words. Here's the new prophecy:
When the Alpha of Alpha's, the High Ruler of Werewolves rises once more, they and only they, can read this prophecy.
When a country falls,
A leader must rise.
A Queen who is full of patience and understanding,
A human that is selfless but commanding,
A she-wolf who is aggressive yet compassionate,
And a female werewolf that is fearless and adamant,
In one person, a mighty leader.
In the dark, this leader will be,
It is only she that can see,
Through the mysteries,
As rest of the Five are blind to the quandaries.
However, it will not be that easy.
The leader will be shrouded in furphy,
She will have to prove herself worthy,
As things will move in a hurry.
When the country falls,
A leader must rise.
This will not be the only struggle,
Old alliances are beginning to crumble,
Which she will have to fix fast,
As new alliances will need to be massed.
The cause for war long forgotten,
But was never forsaken.
The truth laid hidden in their history,
However, there will be contradictories.
The Five will not be able to do this alone,
Both old and new alliances will need to be honed.
Races; known and unknown will need to band together,
These alliances cannot whether.
When the country falls,
A leader must rise.
For more than several centuries past,
No one could answer what was asked:
A power appeared out of sight,
Something the leaders could not fight,
It only fought under the moonlight,
And sometimes, only sounds came from the night.
No one knew what was right,
If any knew, they were killed overnight.
For within the country;
Behind the power, lurks an Evil that wasn't elementary.
It was named the Great Fright,
Past royals believe it hid in plain sight.
When the country falls,
A leader must rise.
The Evil was aided by someone who hunts at night,
And can cause great pain with just a bite.
This traitor will be met by his opponent,
For he is a part of the component.
The Alpha will have the help of this opponent; a hybrid,
He and the Alpha cannot be divided,
They have to stay united,
And the other races cannot be nearsighted.
All must quickly band together,
They cannot afford to have another endeavour,
To create a Council of Races,
One that will last through all ages,
When the world falls,
A leader must rise.
As the world is now at stake,
And it cannot be regained once taken.
It'll take all of them to succeed,
And to make everything decreed.
There will be paths where they will stumble,
Not everything is as humbled,
But if they fight among one another,
Because the days are numbered.
As arguments will prevail,
Enter the Evil's greatest failure.
Like the Evil, she is not elementary,
But she will heal the supplementary.
When the world falls,
A leader must rise.
At first, she will only be a sentry,
But what she'll reveal will bring great fury.
The real reason for this war,
Will bring the supreme uproar.
The races will find that old conflicts aren't what they seem,
It'll frustrate them enough to scream,
It may be enough to be redeemed,
And to finally work as a team,
But only when the High Alpha rises,
And to cease the overwhelming crisis,
Will the others rise.
When the world falls,
A leader must rise.
