PARTY || KISSES

Hyun's POV

I sighed as we entered the house realizing that my parents are really serious about leaving me once again. Jay told me he will be staying with me for tonight as it was the first day that my parents left. I roamed my eyes around the house to check on the newly hired maids my mom mentioned. 

I bowed when I saw one of them. A woman, approximately at her 20's of age. Her eyes darted on me, sooner then she gasped after realizing that I am the daughter of their boss. She lowered down her head and greeted me.

"Good evening, Miss Choi." she greeted. She stood up straight and smiled at me. "I am Bae Yeon. You can always tell me if you need something."

I nodded my head as I walked towards her direction. I stopped my pace when another one showed up. She's a lot older than the first woman. She bowed her head and introduced herself.

"Good evening, Miss Choi. I am her mother, Bae Ryeon."

I smiled bowing my head to show my respect to her. "Please, refrain from talking to me in such formal way. Just call me by my name." I smiled at them.

"Okay, we'll do that."

I glanced at Jay extending my hand to introduce him to them. "He is a friend of mine. His name is Jay." Jay bowed his head while smiling.

"What a good-looking man," Bae yeon's mom complimented him. He chuckled hearing her words. "He must be the one your mom told us about. Are you perhaps that guy named Jongseong?" she asked him, shifting her gaze to Jay.

"Park Jongseong, yes, I am that guy." Jay replied. "What did Sun Hyun's mom told you, ma'am?"

I stared at Mrs. Bae waiting for her answer to Jay's question. A little smile formed on her lips that made me pout my lips out of curiosity. Her daughter began giggling with her eyes going back and forth to glance at me and Jay beside me.

"Well, Sun Hyun's mom told us that you and her daughter might be with each other as couples when time comes. You look good together, I can agree with that."

My lips parted with her statement. I felt my cheeks heating up as I took a glance at Jay. His lips were tucked and his jawline looks even prettier. I stared at his eyes directly looking straight in front and avoided his gaze when it shifted to me. I looked away, clearing my throat.

"Your cheeks are red, Sun Hyun." I took a step backward when Jay popped up in front of my face. It was so close and I could see him grinning at me. I rolled my eyes as I scoffed.

"They are not," I walked past them to go upstairs. It is a bit rude but I just don't want to make things more overwhelming to hear. "I'll take a bath first. Make yourself comfortable, Jay."

I went to my room and threw my bag on the bed. I knocked on my head as I realized what just happened. Jay saw me blushing because of him and it feels illegal. I'm not into him but I'm in love with his friend, Jake. I shouldn't be blushing for someone who I considered as a friend and a brother. But, maybe there's nothing wrong with it. As long as I don't feel my heart beat raising because of him then it is no big deal. Yes. It's no big deal.
