HOT SEAT

Hyun's POV

"Hurry it up! You're too slow!" the P.E instructor shouted.

I nodded at him while panting because of exhaustion. We've been running laps for half an hour and I'm already tired. My legs are shaking as I gasped for air. I continued running to finish the last lap and paused when I heard the instructor talking. I wiped my sweats off my forehead and saw Ni-ki and Jay speaking with the instructor.

I hurriedly moved my legs to run since I'm halfway the tracks but I lost my balance and fell to the ground. I groaned because of pain trying to stand up back on my feet and got startled when pair of arms held my waists to help me up. My eyes shifted to Ni-ki who's about to carry me. I tapped on his shoulders to make him stop. He looked at me and shook his head. Then, he carried me bridal style. He turned to his back and my eyes widened as I caught a glimpse of our P.E instructor on the ground while massaging his jaw.

Aside from that, our classmates, also Jay is walking away from our instructor. I watched our instructor while on Ni-ki's arms until I lost the sight of him as we got far away from the tracks. My face went closer to Ni-ki's neck since he adjusted to carry me properly. A thing seemed to ring in my head and come to my mind when I smelled his scent. His scent reminds me of something that I can't remember. I carefully sniffed on his fragrance after then I heard him chuckling.

"How do I smell?" he asked. "Do I smell nice?"

I rolled my eyes at him. "I don't know, I'm not interested."

"Really?" he grinned. "But, I caught you sniffing on my neck."

"What- I'm only smelling your clothes–" I paused.

"Caught you," he laughed. "Yo, cat got your tongue or something?"

I covered my face out of embarrassment. My face heated up as I stayed silent. I felt his chest moving clearly because he was suppressing his laughter making me hiss under my breath.

We made it to the infirmary and the nurse aid my wound quickly. She wiped the sand off my wound and sprayed alcohol on it. I felt a sting so I closed my eyes tightly to avoid wincing in pain. I slowly opened my eyes right after to see what she'll do next. She dabbed the cotton with hydroxide peroxide lightly and carefully on my wound then she used a cotton bud to put some povidone iodine before covering it with gauze pad.

The nurse cleaned up before leaving me with Ni-ki alone. I took the chance to ask Ni-ki about what happened to our instructor. Ni-ki huffed as he crossed his arms.

"Jay punched him on the face. It was his fault anyway, so, he deserved it." he answered. I tucked my lips in disbelief. "I might have done that myself since he was a jerk to you."

"He is still one of our professors. What if he report you or Jay?" I asked worriedly.

"He'll never do that. But, if ever he reported me or your friend then he'll have to leave himself before I see his face." Ni-ki replied with a stern voice making me frown. He noticed my reaction and later then he chuckled. "Oh, haven't I told you about it?"
