POV: Tony
I'm surprised it took Loki that long to try the door. Steve was the one who insisted we put in a lockdown reaction instead of just keeping it locked, mostly because I'm pretty sure he wanted to have an excuse to see how good our lockdown is. Like he could even tell.
Loki of course brought up Ultron again, like we would suddenly start believing him and think that he's a perfectly fine guy who doesn't stab his brother for fun. Yeah right.
Clint hit him with a taser arrow and Thor locked him in his room, so he's probably just reading. I'm not sure why he thought we were stupid enough to leave everything unguarded.  Granted, I did unleash a killer AI onto the world, unless he truly believes that story he's telling.
Honestly, maybe he does.
I admire the kid's workings some more, noting the simplicity in the materials. If I were to try something like this, I'd probably discover a new element and call it good. But this kid managed to somehow make something that extraordinary with stuff that costs twenty bucks on amazon. I'll admit, I'm impressed. The question is, what is it for? And why did he ask for Loki's help? I mean, I'm not going to lie, he is pretty recognizable. With everyone in New York having almost died to his invasion so recently, you'd think the kid would stay away from him. But no, this was so important he asked for help?
I busy my thoughts with the new internship applications. There's already thousands, and I follow the same formula as before, cutting out all those without an extremely high science grade. A couple remain now, but neither of them seem that exciting. More about the Avengers and how they wish they could be a superhero too.
Laaaammmme.
I text Pepper and give her the news, leaving out how Loki made a group chat with a genius kid. I'll tell her that later. As soon as I give him the internship. Which-
There we go he just applied. I tell Jarvis to send him an acceptance email in ten minutes and delete all the other entries. The kid's smart. I wonder how he'll get along with all the Avengers. They seem to be okay with him on the group chat.
I text Pepper again never mind found the perfect kid he should be here in a week at most. Now all I have to do is wait...
I save the kid's designs and take a look at my iron man suit. I wonder if I should make the kid one...
what am I thinking? He's just a random supergenuis freshman, not a future Avenger. He's an intern, not a superhero. I can't go around making people iron man suits! Pepper would kill me! I literally would be sued by every company at once. And arrested by every country.
I start with the designs. I'm thinking no laser beams, and no rocket boots, since he can use his cool grappling hook thing. Smart idea, kid. I need to tell him to patent it before someone else takes it. Obviously I have to make the suits look different, so no one gets us mixed up. Colors...? Meh, won't work if we're in the dark. The kid should get a little bit of input on it.
My phone dings again, and this time I see the kid's text: What the frick I got an internship at freaking Stark Industries?? Is that insane or are there like a billion interns?
                                                                                                                                                                                       You
Don't know, kid. It's for Stark Industries, not Tony Stark specifically, so.
