Yay 25 chapters! If you all have one-shot suggestions please let me know and I can work them in to the story or just write a one-shot. Maybe I'll write a one-shot fic? Idk. Anyway... Enter the Bucky. (even though I don't even know how he's like one of my fav characters)

POV: Cap

I leave the scene first, ignoring Tony and Loki having an extreme in-depth conversation about the phone passwords. I could tell they didn't need me, and they hadn't actually through that whole conversation. This Doctor Strange guy seemed a lot more concerned about Thor and Tony than anyone else, Loki included. I still am kind of mad he disguised himself as me when he tried to open the door.

I open my phone, using a fingerprint like I always have, and open my text chain with Sam. He found something. Near here. I nearly drop my phone and text him back:

Dear Sam,
How soon can we look into that? I can go as soon as Tony lets me and I might bring a bit of help if I can. Do you think he's really there? Do you think he'll be happy to see me? I'm going to ask right now.

Sincerely, Steve Rogers

Sam

Dude you don't write texts like a letter

I ignore him and walk up the stairs to the balcony I saw Clint watching from earlier. He nearly runs into me turning the corner and I step back.

"Are you up for a mission?" I said, hearing my voice sound a little more like an excited child than I would've expected.

"Depends. When?" he asked, shifting his weight from one foot to the other.

"As soon as possible. In an hour at the earliest. I'm asking Tony," I responded, determined. I was going to find Bucky. After all, he'd pulled me out of a river, which means he's probably sane. Somewhat. He wasn't being himself. Stupid Hydra...

"I'll get my bow. Will bomb arrows help?" Clint asked. I looked back at my phone. 'Looks like he's living in some apartment. Not Hydra, possibly? IDK,' Sam had sent.

"What does IDK mean?" I asked.

"I don't know."

"Well, darn. Bring a few, but not insane amounts," I said. "Anyway, I've got to ask Tony about all this."

"Wait- IDK stands for-"

"Grab your junk!" I said, turning to walk back down the stairs. Tony, Peter. Loki and Thor were all still standing there.

"Up for a mission?" I asked. Peter turned between me and Tony.

"Mr. Stark? Can I go? I just need my webs and I can totally help!" he said, bouncing up and down.

"No. I can sit this one out, right? Get this kid a suit and a proper idea of how he won't be going on these missions?" Tony said. I shrugged.

"Probably. We'll call you if the world's in danger. But it's not that hard a mission. I personally wouldn't mind if Peter came-"

"No," Tony said, his voice icy. I shut my mouth.

"Will I be of any assistance?" Thor said, glancing at Loki. "Or would I be of better use here with my brother?"

"Shouldn't be that hard of a mission," I said. "Actually it's going to be more of an undercover thing. Natasha's busy though, right? With Vision and the twins?"

"Alright, when are we going?" Clint said from behind me. Tony shrugged.

"Y'all go whenever you want. Personally, I might not be available for backup, but-"

"You're- giving me a suit?" Peter said, having been shocked for the past few minutes.

"Am I getting my helmet back anytime soon?" Loki said. Thor put a hand on his shoulder.

"By tomorrow, Brother. You can do that, right Tony?"

"Yeah. I just need to blunt the horns because apparently those were actually blades this whole time-"

"It's convenient. What's the mission?" Loki interrupted. Tony shook his head but I ignored him.

"Finding Bucky Barnes. You wouldn't know-" I trailed off. "You're not a Hydra agent, are you?"

"What? Isn't Hydra that stupid organization that took my staff and helped make Ultron?"

"Yeah. So you don't know  who the Winter Soldier is?" I said, although it hurt a little to call Bucky that.

"Who?" he said, genuinely confused. I didn't question.

"So... we can go right now? I can bring Bucky back with us, right?" I asked Tony.

"Yeah. If he's not trying to murder you," he said, rolling his eyes. Clint handed me my shield.

"Okay. See you... tonight, preferably? Maybe with Bucky?" I said. Tony nodded and I left.

"Mr. Stark you're making me a suit?!?!" I heard Peter yell. I could imagine Tony's reaction clearly.

I open my phone to text Sam, remembering to not write it like a letter.

                                                                                                                                          You

Okay Sam, me and Clint are driving up there. Can you come? Thanks!

Sam

Yes and also you don't have to use punctuation either

                                                                                                                                      You

                                                                                                                 Ok Ill not then

Sam

Yeah... You also don't change what autocorrect says

I finally just put my phone away. Clint finds the old, mega-upgraded Camry in the corner of Tony's garage and takes the driver's seat. I get in the passenger's and turn off most of the tech and screens around me, like the news on five different channels and the car's armor integrity and the random junk Tony put in in case he ever had to ride in this instead of his flashy cars.

"So... we're finding your bestie from World War Two?" Clint said, hand-scanning the car on. Also one of Tony's upgrades.

"Yep. Assuming he's still there and got over Hydra," I said. Of course, 'got over Hydra' was a huge understatement and  I feel bad for saying it. It's not they were just holding him captive, they were torturing him and controlling him and ruining him while I was stuck in ice. Of course, I fixed him. He's fine now.

"Alright. So... I won't need a huge amount of arrows?" Clint said, pulling out. "Also where are we going."

I showed him my phone and he hooked up the GPS.

"Not too many. Not more than a full quiver. I mean, if Hydra's still in his head, I'm not sure there'll be a reason to fight him," I said sadly.

"I'm sure we'll be fine."

"Yeah," I said. "Sure."
