POV: Doctor Strange

"You know, I can't say I'm surprised to see you here, Loki," I said. He turned with a severely annoyed expression focused on me.

"And who are you, might I ask?" He said, crossing his arms and dropping his illusion of a random citizen. I sighed.

"My name is Doctor Stephen Strange. I'm pretty much in charge of making sure the world doesn't get blown up, so-"

"I'm not planning on blowing up the world, understood? Or conquering it or anything like that," he interrupted, although I could tell he was crossing his fingers.

"You're coming with me," I said.

"No, I am not-" I made a portal to Kamar Taj under his feet with my sling ring, then jumped through it myself. I landed on my feet next to him.

"Tea?" I said, closing it. He scowled, getting up.

"Maybe if you weren't going to poison me. Am I not allowed to be on Midgard? Because I've been here for a while. And-"

"It's not poisoned. Here," I said, pouring us each a cup of tea from the same teapot and drinking from my own cup. "Either way, I'm completely fine with you being here so long as the Avengers can control you at least a small amount. Which means when you're running around with a knife dressed like a civilian-"

"I can't act normal now, is that how it is? Because Thor can dress up like a homeless person and make his hammer a normal umbrella, but when I-"

Something tases him midsentence and when he's done being electrocuted he gives me the most exasperated look and tugs on a bracelet on his wrist. Loki- Return to the Avengers.

"I see they're tracking you?" I said, opening a portal back to the New York Sanctum. "I don't have a way to contact your brother, but he'll be able to find you here."

Loki rolls his eyes but steps through it after me.

"They're not going to like this. Honestly they'd all like it better if I pretended I was dead," he said, looking at the portal with interest before I closed it. "How did you get your hands on the tesseract? I thought it was on Asgard-"

"It's called a sling ring. It's like the Walmart version, but better," I said. "It takes practice though, which is obviously why-"

Loki had taken it off my hand by then and was trying to make a portal. I rolled my eyes and the Cloak of Levitation took it back, although Wong might actually laugh if I filmed that. Loki had gotten a tiny spark, even less than I'd gotten the first time I'd tried. He looked absolutely shocked though.

"Does that mean I'm worthy or something? I'm sure that I'm not-"

I finally just made a portal under his feet to one on the ceiling, something I'd always wanted to try. Of course, watching him falling was only entertaining for a few cycles and then I turned back to my book.

"Would you mind being quiet? Thanks," I said, beginning to ignore him. I'd read this book before, but I still found more in the words.

A kitchen knife flies past my face and embeds itself in the wall. I turn to Loki, who'd managed to grab the edge of the floor and hang from the ceiling by one hand.

"That's... Not... How... You... Deal... With... Your... Problems!" He panted, trying to reach up with his other hand. I sighed and made the portals bigger.

"Actually, that is how I deal with my problems. You want to know how many times I died trying to get Dormammu away from this planet? Well, too bad, I lost count," I shrugged, turning back to my book.

"I- didn't- ask!" Loki said, still reaching for something solid. Actually, it was still entertaining, although I could hardly hear him.

"You know, I never actually knew how long these portals lasted. I'd got one for a few hours once, but-"

"Alright- I- yield!" he shouted. I sipped my tea.

"I'm not actually looking for that, I just need somewhere to put you while we wait for your brother to show up," I said, trying to distinguish his expression when he's falling so fast.

"If- Heimdall's- watching- I- will- stab- you-" he threatened. I finally laughed.

"You tried that. What is that, a sharpened butter knife?"

I go back to reading my book and ignore him until the doorbell rings.

"Wait one second," I said, setting down my book. The Cloak of Levitation gets off my back to watch him.

Loki calls me a few words I'm not going to repeat because 1: I can't spell them and 2: I have no idea what they mean. Probably some Asgardian insults.

I ignore him and make a portal to the front door to open it. A young boy, a high school freshman by the looks of him, stands next to Thor in front of me.

"Would you happen to have seen my brother? He seems to be in your building-"

"Yeah. He had a knife. You know, if you're going to keep him here, you should really keep him under control," I said, letting them both in. Then, to the kid, I added, "Who are you?"

"I'm Peter Parker! Mr. Stark's intern," He held out his hand to shake mine.

"Doctor Stephen Strange," I said, taking it.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Strange!" he said. I cringed, not again with everyone messing up my name.

"No, my first name's not Doctor, I just am- or used to- you know what, it's not important," I explained. Peter shrugged.

"If I may, where's my brother?" Thor interrupted. I made a portal a good enough distance away from the ground and Loki fell through it, hitting the ground hard.

"I've been falling... for thirty minutes!" he said, glaring at his brother.

"Yes, sure, you've had time to think about what you did, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to come back with you to make sure you have like, substantial security," I said, rolling my eyes. The Cloak of Levitation reattached itself to my shoulders. "Let's see, Avenger's tower?"

I made a portal and everyone walked through.
