So just a note, I might mix in random one-shots with this? If I do then if y'all have a preference to put them before or after the ongoing story then I'll use that. Also, as time goes on there may be a steady decline in update frequency, and I also do comics if you feel like seeing those. Don't be afraid to comment, love it all except please keep it clean! Thank y'all!
POV: Doctor Strange
I can't focus on my book. The kid being that close to Loki was probably a problem. After all, I'm pretty sure someone who tried to take over the world wasn't going to be the kind of person to apologize for phone theft.
"Alright," I said, getting up and putting the book down. "Something's up, I can feel it."
The Cloak of Levitation gave a little downward tug at my shoulders, which I shrugged off.
"Not you, Tony Stark. And more importantly, his absolute negligence for his intern."
It relaxed a little and I took my sling ring from the desk. Then, thinking twice, I take out my phone, opening it to the text chain the kid had put me on. All of them were on there, including none other than Loki.
Well, this'll be an interesting... long time.
I don't exactly know what to say since I was just there, and Loki's there. So I kind of just sit there with my fingers over the buttons until the Cloak of Levitation finally takes the phone from me and starts tapping.
"Wha- give that back!" I said, trying to reach behind me to where I could hear the texting noises. After a moment it hands it back, and I look at the text just sent. I sigh as I see the meme.
Alright that wasn't me that was the Cloak of Levitation, I send quickly. But no one says anything so I just shut off the phone and pick up my tea.
"What did I say about memes?" I said, walking out of the room. The Cloak tugged at my shoulders, keeping me from moving. I sighed. "Don't make me-"
Now it was covering my mouth. I fought back the urge to try and rip the enchanted fabric from my face and gently lift it off.
"I understand," I said, using my hand to block its half-hearted poking at my face. "I get it. You can stop."
Your clothing sent a meme on a group chat? It's Loki. I could feel myself itching to use the sling ring to do nothing other than dump water on his head or something.
It's sentient, I replied.
Alright, sure, he said. Somehow I could hear the sarcasm.
You know these portals work everywhere, I threatened. He didn't text back.
We're playing Kahoot the code's 274 2750 365 if you want to join, Peter said after a moment. I looked around the room. I honestly should probably be learning more of how to use the time stone, but that could wait. Would wait.
The answer buttons are just color. I was really going to regret doing this...
But I portal into Avenger's tower anyway. Tony Stark drops his phone, right next to where I'm standing. The Cloak of Levitation catches it while I look at the screen. World War Two. I haven't done that since we learned it in class like in sixth grade.
So obviously I lose. Captain Rogers and whoever Bucky is win the most, Loki and Thor both do worse than me, but their competition between each other is the fiercest.
"Ha ha, in your face, Brother!" Loki says as the last question ends. He's ahead by 200 points.
"Are you going to like, just, pop in all the time?" Tony says, glancing at the Cloak warily. I shrugged.
"Your intern gave me a Kahoot code. You have to see the screen," I said, trying not to sound like I regretted the decision.
"So... not a normal thing?" he clarified. I had to keep from rolling my eyes.
"Normally I have better things to be doing than dealing with all of you."
"Game 3!" Peter was saying, setting it up.
"How often is the Earth in danger?" Tony said, giving me a look. I sighed.
"In an alternate timeline I'm dying 24/7 to keep a evil demon from the dark dimension away from here," I said.
"Yeah, but what about our timeline?" he persisted.
"Seeing as someone on my 'may destroy reality' list is living in New York under your security?" I shrugged. "Sounds like we're living on the edge to me."
"Are you insulting my flawless security system?" he asked.
"Seeing as he was walking around unattended, yeah," I answered. Loki turned from the couch.
"If you're going to talk about me you may as well keep your voices down," he said, scowling.
"I'm sorry, would you prefer I put you in a falling loop?"
"How long is your 'may destroy reality' list again?" Tony interrupted. I made a portal big enough for my hand and took it off a desk from one of the Sanctums, handing it to him. He took the stapled stack of papers, reading the list with a half-shocked expression.
"Pretty sure most of these are made up," he muttered, flipping the page.
"I can assure you they are not," I said.
"Who's Hela? And Dormammu? And why did you write a star next to them?" he said, pointing.
"They're locked up at the moment. They both want massive destruction, control, the works. You know, like Ultron," I explained.
"Right," he said, handing me back the paper. "So we're not in danger. It's all stars."
"And Loki," I added.
"I'm not doing anything wrong!" he cut in.
"Not currently," I said.
"Question: If someone was helping Ultron and switched sides, should they be on your list?" Tony asked. "I mean, hypothetically."
"Who?" I said. He looked around at me in fake shock. I really shouldn't have come here.
