Warnings: Past alcohol use
Synopsis: Wine hangovers are the worse.***
When Blue woke up the next morning, he could only describe his state as pitiful. His head was ringing loudly as if someone had introduced a bell inside of his skull and was currently in the process of banging it as hard as they could against his bones. His eyes were hardly movable and keeping them open was painful anyway, he was susceptible to the light and just a sparkle was enough to make him feel like his irises were burning. It wasn't just his eyes though, his whole body felt so heavy compared to what it usually felt like and there was that thing surrounding him that made him uncomfortable. After risking yet again a look at the outside world and immediately regretting it, Blue groaned and buried his face into Dream's shoulder.
"I don't like this at all." He squeezed Dream tighter, who just let out a sigh in response.
"Wine hangovers are the worst, I agree." He let one of his fingers trace the bone of Blue's back, who basically melted, and leaned even more into the winged man.
"Having them isn't something I regret lacking.""I still don't understand how you could like that. It doesn't even taste that good and the aftermath is a nightmare!" Dream laughed at his hopeless tone.
"That's what happens when you're in a really bad state- Now get off of me, I need to go make breakfast." Dream tried to straighten up, making the blanket slightly slip off Blue's body.
The latter whined into his neck, not letting go. If anything, he was holding him even tighter now. "Stay with me..." He slurred, trying to push the other down to the mattress again. "I would tie you down if I have to..." He mumbled, still half asleep and entirely in pain.
"Ah." Dream sighed, flopping back down, much to Blue's happiness. "So you don't want me to go huh?"
A hiss escaped the shorter one. "Oh no, of course, I want you to leave me alone in my misery, silly me! WHAT DO YOU THINK?" His voice cracked in the middle of his second sentence and he absolutely wanted to die at that moment.
Dream hummed, one of his hands reaching up to pet the other's hair to calm him down. It seems to work since Blue slouched back down against Dream's body again. His leg brushed his own and he stifled out a laugh, that contact felt like a tickle.
"So you're unusually sassy and get mad easily during a hangover, got it." Blue groaned again, shifting. He felt so tired but he didn't want to sleep either. That sucked.
"You don't need to remember that." His arm was starting to feel numb because of being stuck between his and Dream's body. He wiggled it out before resting it on Dream's chest. That felt better. "I'm not planning on touching any drop of alcohol ever again."
Dream smirked up at him, rubbing small circles on his nape. "Maybe you shouldn't have touched my stash without asking me first Hmm?"
Blue slightly tilted his head upward to weakly glare at the other. "Oh shut up, I don't wanna hear about this anymore." He flopped his head back down in defeat.
After that, the two fell into a comfortable silence that was only broken by Blue's soft purring and whimpering when Dream stopped touching him.
Another mewl escaped him before Dream started speaking again.
"Hey Blue, do you remember anything that happened while you were drunk?" Blue froze, his purrs momentarily stopped as well. Even if that happened, Dream kept rubbing small circles on his nape with his finger, albeit a bit slower now.
"... For my sake, it's better if I pretend I don't." He let out after a few, feeling even worse than he initially did. That was a record on its own. "I'm sorry, but could we talk about something else?"
