It was the middle of the night when a storm raged outside, loud enough to wake Jongho from his sleep. A thunder made him wince, he opened his eyes and turned to the window. The rain pelted mercilessly against the pane, there was non-stop lightning and thunder and the wind whistled past the hotel. Annoyed, Jongho rolled his eyes and sat up. He looked around and saw that he was the only one woken up by the thunderstorm. After Hongjoong had chased Wooyoung off the bed because he couldn't stand the constant hugging of the two lovebirds next to him, the black-haired one was now cooped up between Yeosang and Mingi. The three of them lay snuggled together next to Jongho like a little ball of baby cats. Mingi snored, loud enough that the other two could hardly tell the thunderstorm from Mingi. Yunho had smuggled himself up onto the bed and was lying between San and Hongjoong, kind of across the bed. Since the bed had been pushed up against the wall, Seonghwa was able to settle into a small alcove while San, because of Yunho's habit of enticing him to sleep, was already threatening to fall off the edge of the bed onto the floor. What a bunch of weird guys. Jongho thought to himself, but couldn't help but smile slightly. It thundered again outside and Jongho rolled his eyes in annoyance.

»Who's going to sleep with all that noise?» he scrambled to his feet, accidentally stepping on Mingi's hand, which was tucked under Yeosang's head on Jongho's side. The tall black haired one twitched, Jongho picked up his foot and stepped somewhere else.

»Ouch...« Mingi mumbled and Jongho made a face.

»Sorry.« Mingi just grumbled, pulled Yeosang close to him, squeezing Wooyoung even tighter between himself and Yeosang, and then went back to sleep. Jongho shook his head. It was a mystery to him that they could sleep like that. Cuddling was one thing, but the three of them strangled each other in their sleep. Shaking his head, he distanced himself from the three and went into the bathroom, where he turned on the light.

»Hmm...« he squinted slightly at the sudden brightness and padded half-blindly over to the sink, where he turned on the faucet and put his hands under the water. He freshened up a little, dabbed some water on his forehead and the back of his neck, leaned forward, and then took a few sips before turning off the faucet again and wiping his mouth. He sighed and sat up and looked in the mirror. He looked tired. His hair was completely tousled and sticking out in all directions. He had deep black circles under his eyes and looked pale, though he wasn't sure if that was just the glare of the lamp.

»Uff...« he tousled his hair once and stretched.

»Now how am I going to sleep?« he gave a long yawn, closing his eyes and stretching as far as he could without noticing someone approaching him from behind.

»Jongho-«

»WAAAHH!« the black haired jumped in shock and turned to stare at the black haired behind him who had scared him almost to death.

»Pssst! Chill, man, it's me!« Yunho said, covering his mouth with a finger. Jongho growled ferociously and shook his fist at the larger one.

»Do you have a death wish?«

»You're not usually that jumpy.«

»It's the middle of the night! It's dark and you could have been anyone else.« Yunho smiled slightly.

»I thought we decided the Halateez wouldn't mess with you.«

»That doesn't mean anything.«

»Why aren't you two sleeping?« a third voice asked suddenly and the group elder's head appeared next to Yunho's shoulder.

»There's thunder.« Jongho said, pointing out of the bedroom.

»Are you afraid of thunder?« Seonghwa frowned in confusion, and the youngest just rolled his eyes and grumbled.
