Sketching in my unruled notebook has always been my pastime between my classes while waiting for the professor and whenever I have free time. I was working on my millionth design, I have drawn a lot and I liked the fact that I never ran out of ideas in my mind.
I always played princess, dressmaking, stitching, and more, including needlework. I remember playing and meddling with my grandma's job, how I played with her manual sewer, knotted her threads, and broke her needles. I guess that's how my passion for designing and creating clothing started.
I acted like I was listening to my block mates' conversation as I continued stroking my pencil, adding shade to the tail of the dress I was sketching.
"I should get to him," said Brenda.
That was the first line I heard from Brenda when I leaned back to get my eraser from my bag. I knew that they were planning to party tonight and I thought I'd pass again. I was excited to sew this new design of mine, I was only making a small one for my mini mannequin and I wouldn't really use the exact materials.
It was still Wednesday but whatever, I thought I neeeded some booze tonight. Umuwi na muna kami sa apartment namin. Fortunately, we're neighbors so we can't bail each other.
I wore my butterfly pattern, crisscross tie backless crop flannelette halter top paired with my tight skirt. I side-braid ponytailed my hair and then put on makeup.
My two roommates were my old friends back from my hometown.
The club was only 30 minutes away but since it was traffic, it took us more than an hour to reach it.
Agad akong umupo sa tabi ni Rebecca, it was unlikely for her to join parties like this. I wondered how they convinced her to come tonight.
"Are you chatting with your boyfriend?
