That night Fengjiu got to her room and sighed with exhaustion, but knew that Cheng Yu would be there. When she walked in, Cheng Yu pouted. "I forgot about the clairvoyant thing. I guess I can't surprise you anymore." Fengjiu laughed and sat down.

Cheng Yu stated, "Alright, I came here to talk about the demon. Si Ming and I are going to investigate it...unless you already know who it is."

She thought to herself, 'I knew this was coming.' She sighed. "I know who it is, but I can't tell you. Both of you need to stop your investigation."

"What? Why?" Cheng Yu asked incredulously. "There is a demon trying to sabotage Dijun and steal the Soul-Binding Stone to give to Miao Luo! We must do something."

Fengjiu explained. "If you do something, it might mess things up. I will tell everyone who it is after I get out of this trial with Dijun." She reached over to put her hand on her arm. "Please."

Cheng Yu sighed. "All right, all right! You mysterious Xiao Huli."

She asked, "Cheng Yu could you do something for me?"

"Sure! What is it?" Cheng Yu asked with a curious expression.

"Can I trouble you to get a dagger design for me? Third Highness has it in his possession," Fengjiu said. "It was supposed to be a surprise for you, and I hate to ruin it, but I really need a copy of it."

She thought to herself, 'I want to make sure some things stay the same...I have no idea if that design made him trust me more...or like me more...but it was involved in our past trial.'

Cheng Yu nodded with a smile. "I will take care of it." Then she leaned forward curiously. "Tell me about it."

She laughed and they spoke for the next hour, and when Cheng Yu was about to leave, she called out. "Cheng Yu, I almost forgot, while you get the design for me. Could you also bring Careless Flowers with you? I need them." She made an innocent facial expression.

Cheng Yu made a fake annoyed face. "I must have owed you in a previous life."

She smiled and replied, "No, I owe you for being such a good friend."

She thought to herself, 'I need to find a way to pay back Cheng Yu...she did so much for me.'

Cheng Yu laughed. "You must be tired to get this sappy. I'll take my leave. Then I'll be back tomorrow." Fengjiu nodded and Cheng Yu teleported away.

Fengjiu walked over to her bed and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

The next morning, Xuanren was in his study going over how to improve the protection of the Jade Stone in the Imperial Tomb.

The Chief Eunuch walked inside with a bowl in his hands. He said, "Your Majesty, Queen Dowager sent her servant to deliver this ginseng soup to you. She worries that you are working too hard and tiring yourself out. She asked that you stay healthy."

Xuanren was concentrating on how many levers he needed to update. He replied, "Put it down first. I'll have it together with my meal later."

Chief Eunuch nodded and sat the soup down.

Because of the distraction, he remembered the lady from the water. "From General Ye's side have you found any news regarding the beautiful girl who was in the water that night?"

The Eunuch replied, "Nothing, Your Majesty."

Xuanren sighed. "Fine. Today I have to visit the Imperial Tomb. Ask Qingti to get ready."
