"You Ice Face! I fell into Sanskrit Valley because of you! I refuse to call you master." Xiao Yan shouted angrily.
Dong Hua smirked. "You just did."
Fengjiu elbowed Xiao Yan. "Shhhh!"
The teacher pointed at him and shouted. "Shut up! How bold you are. How dare you be rude to Dijun." Then he turned to Dong Hua and bowed. "I'm sorry Dijun. I'll make sure to punish him after class."
Dong Hua nodded and walked to the front of the class room. He looked down at the scroll that the teacher had been reading. "Let's continue."
Fengjiu couldn't take her eyes off Dong Hua the rest of class. Hearing his voice made her feel as if she could breath easier for the first time in days. She didn't know what he was saying, because she was so absorbed with him.
Dong Hua was reciting what he knew of magical plants, but in the corner of his eye, he kept seeing Fengjiu. 'Xiao Bai...'
He didn't truly realize how much he had enjoyed her presence until now. Although he still wasn't sure why he was so enamored with her, he would admit that he wanted her around. He had never felt this way before and he still didn't completely understand it. But he told himself that he would find out what she meant to him. 'Maybe I just wanted answers from her...but I don't think that is why I feel this way.'
After class, he was going to call on Fengjiu, but he saw her lagging behind the students. He could tell she was waiting for him.
Fengjiu knew she couldn't run into his arms and kiss him, but she felt a deep yearning to at least speak with him. Not answering his calls had been terrible, but she had to stay strong. 'It's important that Dong Hua doesn't know my feelings for him yet.'
Also she noticed Xiao Yan staying behind with her. She sighed and hoped Dong Hua and Xiao Yan could keep calm.
Dong Hua felt deeply uncomfortable with how close Xiao Yan and Fengjiu were standing to each other. He shook his head. 'What is this strange and awful feeling?'
Fengjiu bit her lip to keep herself from smiling and walked over to him. "Dijun, I am glad you're here."
He nodded. "I came here to bring you back ho-...to the Nine Heavens." He was shocked that he almost called it home, because it truthfully wasn't her home.
Fengjiu clenched her toes to stop from walking over to him. "We need to have a talk."
"Yes we do," Dong Hua replied swiftly.
"Am I invited?" Xiao Yan leaned down to whisper in Fengjiu's ear.
Dong Hua voice was loud and powerful. "No you are not!" He felt violent seeing Xiao Yan that close to her.
Fengjiu could tell what was happening. In the past Dong Hua hated when Xiao Yan was near her. She answered. "It's okay Xiao Yan. I need to speak with Dijun on a few things."
Xiao Yan shrugged. "Alright." Then he glared at Dong Hua before leaving.
Dong Hua quickly grabbed her arm and teleported them outside. It was near the forest and far enough away that no one would hear their conversation.
"Why didn't you answer my calls?" He growled out, and still holding her arm.
She sighed. "We weren't supposed to talk during that time."
He let go of her arm and gritted his teeth. "You always say things that I don't understand."
She stated. "I promise that things will make sense soon."
