Chapter 46 (SHORT)

Warning, this chapter is VERY short. As in, 1 POV short. And it's Ashlyn's! YAY! So don't hate me, writer's block is a biatch. Without further ado, here is by far the shortest chapter in Change of Heart thus far.

Ashlyn's POV

"Yeah, so it was amazing," Tiffany blabbered on and on about her 'special night' with Niall since she'd flown out to the States to see him, since she wouldn't be able to see him during the break in March.

"Mmm-hmm," I mumbled.

Lately, Tiffany had been starting to get on my nerves. All she would go on about was her relationship with Niall, and what a bitch Skylar was to her, though I didn't get that last part, since Tiffany never actually spoke to Skylar.

And it made me jealous, because lately, my relationship with Liam had been going absolutely NOWHERE. Nowhere at all.

Either he was on tour, or at home, or talking to Dani.

Not that I had anything against Dani. We got along fine, and we were comfortable around each other. But lately, he'd been talking to her more often than to me, and it was getting a little weird. I had the distinct feeling that...maybe he was still in love with her.

And maybe it was time to move on.

Tears pricked my eyes as I tried to blink them away, swallowing the lump in my throat.

"And then we went out for dinner afterwards, and he was super sweet, and--" Tiffany said until I cut her off.

"Seriously, Tiff, that happened two weeks ago, you can stop talking about it," I said, annoyed.

Tiffany scowled. "Well, at least I have a relationship."

My eyes flared. "Excuse me?" I snapped.

"Well, I can talk about my relationship because I'm happy, and I have one, whereas Liam doesn't really care about you, now does he?" Tiffany asked.

I turned red. "You have no right to say anything about my relationship, especially when you don't know half of it!"

"It's not like you know what's going on either," she said, crossing her arms.

Anger filled me. "Well if all you're going to talk about is how wonderful your life is with Niall, I'm out of here," I said, standing up.

"Someone's jealous," she grumbled. "Whatever. Have fun brooding on your own."

I tried to ignore the pain that was wracking my heart. I needed to get out of this situation.

I needed to know where I stood with Liam.

Otherwise, I think I might crash and burn.

Author's Note:

This is the best I could do with the writer's block, a few ppl have asked me to do an Ashlyn's POV, so here it is.

Sorry it's so short, I'll try to upload later this week with a more eventful chapter.

Love, Lauren.
