John got straight to the point.
"I'll give you the money, so get out."
Jay was puzzled at first, but soon grinned.
"Tell me why."
"Big Mac told me he got a tattoo on you. Where did you get the info on Eddie's birthmark?"
Jay shrugged his shoulders. "I learned about it from a bouncer who used to work in this house. He invited me to work with him, but I declined."
"Didn't you kill him to silence him?"
"I don't remember," Jay acted dumb.
"I will not say anything to Jacqueline. You too. And get out of this house."
"You're the one who's leaving," Jay said with a laugh.
"What did you say?"
"Mommy, he's a bad guy," said Jay, mimicking the way children talk. "Because he wants me to get out. He wants to keep the property to himself. He married Mommy for money. He might be going to kill Mommy after I leave." Jay burst out laughing.
John didn't expect Jay to accept his offer and leave. John pulled out a revolver hidden under his jacket and pointed it at Jay.
"Do you want to?" Jay laughed fearlessly. Jay seemed confident with a quick shot. His right hand rested on the gun belt on his waist.
