The combat readiness dictated by Roberts naturally limited the activities of the war correspondents.

If reporters wanted to go out, they were required to report to the Argo Security Department and be accompanied by armed soldiers.

"I can't do news gathering activities with this."

Joe Arbogast, New York Times reporter shrugged his shoulders, and Floyd Murdock, Washington Post, nodded.

"By the way, where did that young guy go?"

"You mean that young guy who helped you fall off the train roof?"

Murdoch made a sour face to Arbogast's sarcasm. "That's right. The young guy was there until just now, but he's gone."

"Well, maybe he's gone out?"

"Damn it. He beat us to the punch on the story, so maybe we'll get more regulation."

"Huh? Didn't you always say that to beat to the punch is important for reporters?"

"Well. He'll make a good reporter. Shit!"

A young guy, Clifford Kent, a reporter for the Evening Post, who was looked up to by two veteran reporters, was searching in a pine forest on the outskirts of town. Kent squatted down and looked at the ground, and saw many horse tracks. Kent recalls that bandits were rampant around here during the gold rush. Could it be the band of robbers who attacked the town?

There was a solitary house in the woods. Kent cautiously opened the door and entered the house.

A dead leaf-like corpse was lying on its back. He was a white man in his thirties. There was a large black stain on the belly of his shirt. Kent stepped over the corpse and went inside, examining each room. In the children's room, the corpse of a boy was lying miserably. The mother's body was nowhere to be found.

Letters were carved into the pillars with a knife.

Is this what Jesus Christ means?

The typeface was sharp, and the carved parts were frayed. Kent felt an indescribable madness in it. Perhaps the person who carved this is claiming to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ?
