After a welcoming dinner, the Argo crew moved to the Western Hotel. They were the first guests from outside the city since the cataclysm.

Doc Morton was relaxing in his room when Hector Jackson visited.

"I have a favor to ask of you," said Hector Jackson. "There is a woman we rescued outside of town. She seems to have lost her memory and doesn't know who she is. Can you diagnose her?"

"I'm not a psychiatrist," Morton said quizzically. "Is there a psychiatrist in this town?"

"It's not just a mental issue."

"What does that mean?"

"I can't explain it. Neither do the doctors in this town. We are held down by the so-called common sense. But you've had a lot of strange experiences before you got here. So I hope you can make a correct diagnosis. "

Doc Morton, Captain Danny Harris and Vice-Captain Clay Roberts went to Hector Jackson's house.

They lost for words when they saw the woman named Helen. She was 'an unsurpassed beauty'. Her skin was glossy and fresh, slightly reddish in the reflection of the lamp. Exotic chiseled face, thick wavy black hair that hangs down to her shoulders. Large, downcast dark eyes and cherry-colored lips were slightly parted, as if to seduce them. She wore a simple shirt-blouse, but she couldn't hide her attractive figure, which was formed with a full bosom, a slim waist, and plump hips.

Roberts thought that Miss Craig would have been jealous of her if he had seen her. But Roberts didn't want to hit on Helen. He instinctively decided that she was a great woman to show off to others, but not a pleasant one to be with. Roberts has a lot of experience with women, and he's had his share of failures with those types of women before. But Harris had no such experience. Harris had never made love with any woman other than a prostitute and was still single. It was rumored that Harris' passion for cultivating roses was due to the fact that he thought of them as women.

Harris was now looking at Helen, hammering with his heart. For the first time in his life he fell in love.

Doc Morton, as a doctor, calmly examined Helen. No particular abnormalities were found. The only thing that bothered him was that her pulse was rather slow. Doc Morton thought she might have heart problems, so he took her blood just in case. He intended to later take it back to his compartment on the Argo and examine it under a microscope.
