The Wright Flyer has taken off. It ascended and descended, flying precariously. Orville clung to the pilot's seat to avoid being thrown off. He heard the roar of the engine and the whistling of the wind. He was so desperate to navigate that he forgot his fear. After a while, the flying machine somehow stabilized. Until then, it had been up to the wind or the machine, but Orville was finally able to control the Wright Flyer at his will.

Wilbur yelled at the Wright Flyer. "Orville! Good! That's it!"

Orville could not hear Wilbur. He was focused on driving, looking straight ahead. The moving rocks silently waited for prey to fall into the trap.

The Argo also started moving. Deke, who was conversing with Chester, got off the locomotive just before. For maximum speed, the lighter the better. Only Chester and Hugh were on board the Argo. The five cannons had been unloaded and were now being carried by the soldiers over the narrow and steep mountain roads.

Chester sounded the horn twice to announce that he was following the Wright Flyer.

Theodore Roosevelt was on the opposite side of where Wilbur Wright was, on the Grand Junction side. He didn't like to keep quiet and watch what was going on. He was on a barge hauled alongside the Pride of the Palisade, a crumbling steamship that had been specially purchased for this operation.

When he saw the rock start to move, he cried out.

"Charge!"

The steamship started sailing upstream, with white smoke billowing out of its chimney.

Orville, on board the Wright Flyer, also saw the rock start to move. Wright Flyer's first mission completed. The next mission was to escape the rock crash. Orville took a deep breath and tried to turn. By moving the wooden saddle attached to his waist, the aircraft could turn. A maneuvering method based on how a bird bends its wings. Orville calmly moved his hips.

However, the Wright Flyer did not begin to circle. Watching from afar, Wilbur felt an uneasiness.

"What are you doing, Orville! Make a quick turn!"
