The seven Rough Riders, led by Pat Garrett, had just traveled south from Cheyenne, Wyoming, along the Union Pacific Railroad, to the small town of Carr.

"What the hell is this?" exclaimed professional blaster Frank 'Mad Bomber' Zuckerman. The tracks were bent at right angles everywhere, creating geometric patterns resembling the Greek meanders. "Trains can't run on those tracks."

Bonnie Monaghan, who was the star of the western show, asked, "Since when did this happen?"

"I went there about a month and a half ago and it was straight at the time," Pat Garrett replied.

Pat was riding Slim's horse instead of a motorbike sidecar. He replaced Slim, who had both broken legs.

"Who did it? It's elaborate for practical jokes. It cannot be done by one or two people. A lot of workers must have been hired."

Orpheus Granger, a black boy and an English aristocrat, was genteel, unlike the rough-and-tumble thugs of the West.

"I can't believe a human did it," Lou Blackman a gambler said curtly.

Slim asked Pat. "Now tell me, what the hell is going on in America? Are you hearing anything from the government? "

Pat Garrett thought for a moment, then began to speak.

"There was a big earthquake in San Francisco about three months ago. After that, the White House lost contact with San Francisco. At the same time, monsters appeared one after another all over America. The centaurs, the harpies, and the giant boar you fought. All are monsters from Greek mythology. Scientists representing all over the United States were gathered for a conference, but the cause was unknown. Not just monsters. There is also a report that a huge white temple like the Parthenon appeared overnight in the middle of the Nevada desert. I think it's probably the same here."

"Look at me," Lou magically revealed a playing card and held it in his left hand. Lou fanned out the cards. All cards were face down. When Lu lightly shakes the cards, only one card turns face up. It was the J of spades.

"Are you saying these disasters are tricks?" asked Slim.

"No" Rou closed the cards and opened them again, this time all the cards were turned face up."America will soon be taken over by the world of Greek mythology."

"You're not kidding!" yelled The Mad Bomber. "The guys from Greek mythology aren't satisfied with just invading our world, so they want to change it into their own world."

Bonnie wondered what Geronimo, Sitting Bull, and Crazy Horse would think if they heard those words. Do you think it's the same thing white people did to Native Americans?

"Are we going forward or are we going back?" Orpheus asked.

"Forward," Pat replied. "I'm meeting the Argo in Denver. I have to tell them about this winding track."

Pat Garrett said and rode on. Behind him, Billy, Slim, Bonnie, Orpheus, The Mad Bomber and Lou. The seven Rough Riders resumed their journey to Denver.
