~Rose~
I sat in my office looking at the reports of the Furn Wood Pack slaughter. Half of their pack killed by those monsters. My vision changed red as anger boiled. There were reasons why we never let humans know we existed, and this was one of them. I hated some humans. Others were bearable and then there were ones-like Lora- that you could trust. I sighed and leaned back. I smiled at the memory of first meeting Lora.
-.-.-
It was a cold summer that year and she found me. She came up to me.
"Hello Alpha Rose, right?" I looked at her with surprise. She was human and I was a little worried.
"I'm sorry come again?" I was leaving work that day. I was still young at the time so I worked at a store my fathers friend owned so I wouldn't look odd if I didn't have a normal job.
"Sorry. I'm Lora. My father died when I was little and his best friend Henery took me in, and well Henery was part of the West Brook Pack." I looked at her surprised.
-.-.-
I sighed. She had taken me by surprise. I was 21 at the time and she was a human that knew about us. But she had lived with wolfs her whole life so she could be trusted.
A knock in the door pulled me back to the present.
"Enter." The door opened to reveal Lora and Rough. I smiled.
"Lora. It's so nice to see you again. I was just thinking about you." She smiled as she tipped her head down and back up.
"Good or bad?" I stood up and walked around my desk and wrapped her an a great big wolf hug.
"Always good when I think of you." I let go and looked at Rough.
"You can leave now, Rough."
"Actually thats what I came to see you about. And seeing as I can't bring Autum to talk with you too I made sure one of them were here."
"Is there something wrong?"
"On the contrary. Something very good." I looked up into Roughs deep eyes. If I didn't have my own mate I would of thought him very hansome.
"Whats going on you two?"
"Its Autum, and Rough." I looked between them. I walked back around my desk. And looked down at the report.
"You mean to tell me Autum and Rough are mates?" I picked up the report and handed it to Rough.
"Whats this?" He took it and looked down at it.
"Read it out loud."
" 'Wolf Pack Spotting. A group of wolfs have been spotted in Town. A couple of hunters were sent out and came back with what they believed to be half of the pack.' " Rough looked up. "What is this?"
"That Rough is why Autums parents were killed."
"They were killed by humans?"
"No. They were punished for tellig humans about us."
"Autum didn't know though. I didn't until they called me to come to Town. I was told what happened and watched my dear friends- She didn't know Rose. Not until I did." I looked at Rough.
"Now you see why I don't trust Autum?"
"Yes...but no." I looked at him harder.
"No?"
"She has nothing to do with the death of the pack members that died at the hands of the humans."
"She has the same blood!"
"And I was a rogue for three years! That doesn't matter." His voice was rased and I was shocked. He had a tone I recognized.
"But every time you turn wolf you fight to be human again. She has the same blood. There can be repeates of things that happen in the past." I stood up. "And until I know for a fact that she can be trusted I don't want you telling her anything. I have half a mind to tell you to stay away from her!"
"You know I can't- I won't do that!" His voice sounded like his fathers. Strong and forceful.
"That is why I am telling you as your Alpha that you may not tell her anything about our pack until she is excepted. Do you understand." His body stiffened and his alpha instinks wanted to surface, but he knew better. I wasn't just some Alpha I was the Queen Alpha.
"Yes. I understand." Lora looked at me.
"I know I can't force you, but as a friend, I kindly ask you to respect my wishes and help me protect my pack." She looked back at me and sighed.
"As long as you promise me that you won't let me lose the only family I have left."
"Lora you-"
"She's all I have left Rose!"
"And you'll still have her-"
"Will she remember me?" I looked at her shocked.
"What do you mean?"
"She doesn't want what happened to me to happen to her neice." Rough finally spoke up.
"Your wolf had you for three years."
"After a couple of months though was enough to have him control me. I don't want Autum to go through that." They don't understand.
"Fine talk to Davian. In a months time he'll be alpha. It will be his choice." Rough sighed.
"Rose,"
"Thats my final amswer. Now if you two don't mind I would like to get back to work." Rough bowed his head and Lora just turned around. She knew my status but she was also a human. I had no way of forcing her to do what the other wolfs do. I sighed and sat back down. Not a minute later did the door creek open.
"What did I say Ro-" I looked up and saw my hansome mate.
"I don't know what you said to Rough but I'm still allowed in right?" I smiled and got up.
"I'm sorry. I hate talking to alpha blood." He took me in his arms and pulled me close.
"He doesn't know yet does he?" I sighed.
"Its been five years. I know I should tell him, but-"
"You want him to figure it out. Your hoping he never remembers though."
"No I want gim to remember-"
"He would make his own pack than."
"He should have his own pack."
"even if some of the wolfs from your pack go to his?"
