Its a wolf thing

~Autum~

I sighed. Davian hates me I know it. He can't stand being around me. Convincing him to let me in the pack sooner is crazy thinking.

"Are you okay Autum?" I looked up. Aaron sat across from me in the small lunch room. I sighed.

"Just thinking, thats all."

"What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing." He took a bite out of his pizza.

"Okay. So has anyone told you the legend of this town yet?"

"No. What is it? Does the town have ghosts' or something?"

"No, werewolfs." I swollowed my food really hard.

"No way. This town has werewolfs?"

"Yeah. It starts like 200 years ago. They say the mayor of this town got angery one day in public and he shook and before half of the town he changed into a wolf. Big and black."

"Shut up. Thats not true."

"The legand says that his family went into hidding. It says that they are still around to today."

"And they also say you shouldn't let nerds light fires." A tall boy that had a stench of wolf sat next to Aaron and two boys sat next to me. They boy sitting next to Aaron looked at me with a smile.

"So you're the new girl around here hu. You doing anything Friday after school?" I looked at him and glared as much as I could.

"Come on Jacob leave her alone. She's busy Friday."

"With what?"

"We're going to a movie." I looked at Aaron. What was he doing?

~Davian~

I sat close to Autums table talking with my friends. I was listenig in on her condersation. Aaron was telling her about our history-or at least all the humans know about it. I sighed and looked at Ryan and Dillan they were sitting across from me.

"Jake and his friends are heading to Autums table." I sighed in frustration. I hated Jake and his friends in the pack made my life misrable.

"Sir, he's-"

"Yeah I know. And quit calling me sir." No matter how long I know someone when they know I'm a prince they decide to respect me differently. I turned around and walked around to stand behind Jake. I rested my hands on his sholders and he stiffened.

"Jake what are you doing?" I try my best to sound like I'm kidding around and use my alpha voice at the same time.

"J-just explaining t-to our new friend th-that it would be a w-waist of time to g-go to th-the movies w-with a-uh him." I loved it when he reacted this way to me. He knew I was in charge and he knew that I was alpha. I looked over to Autum. Her eyes darkened. She was angery.

"Autum. Can I talk to you. Now. In the hall." She took a deep breath and stood up. I walked over to her and placed my hand on her back. She didn't stiffen or cring away, she just let it happen. I led her out into the hall. As the door closed she gently pushed my arm away.

"W-what?" I could tell she was angery but still scared.

"You know as well as I do. Your eyes are a dead give away to what your feeling. And to a human thats odd." She ducked her head.

"So," She almost wispered it. I threw my hands up in the air.

"So? Really, really, is that all you can come up with? My mother wants to trust you and she wants to believe you're nothing like your parents, but if you can't control your anger in front of a human then honestly I-" She looked up in anger with eyes dead black. 

"If that jacob wasn't there at the table then I wouldn't of had any problem. Infact if you would trust me I wouldn't have any problem. I would have a real family again, like I had when my parents were alive, but no. You don't want me to be in your-" She took a deep breath and leaned against the wall. Slowly she slid down the wall and sat there with her head in her hands. Oh crap! What do I do now. Rough! He'd know.  

So I quickly pulled my phone out. I hit 2 and waited.

"Okay man, I know your future alpha and all but-"

"Yeah yeah I know, but I need your help."

"Whats wrong?"

"I...I made a girl cry and I have no clue how to cheer her up." Rough started laughing.

"This isn't funny man. I have Autum here cry-"

"What?!" He imeadiatly stopped laughing and I heard anger I have never heard him use before.

"I was talking with Autum and I guess something I said-"

"Where are you?"

"School lunch room. Why-" I heard the phone dial tone. That was strange. He was no help. I sighed and kneeled down just in front of her. She was crying hard and I didn't know what to do. Her crying sounded as if she had just broken a bone that wouldn't heal.

"Autum. Autum, whats wrong? What did I say?" I tried resting my hand on her knee but she swatted me away. I sat there for five minutes just trying to get her to talk.

"Get back!" I stood and took a couple steps away from Autum. The voice I heard wasn't the voice I knew coming from an all too familar friend.

"Sorry. Wait what are you doing here Rough?" He sat down and wrapped his arm aroung Autum. She looked at him and then barried her face in his chest.

~Autum~

I didn't know Davian called Rough. I would of stopped him but now that he was here I didn't want him to leave.

"Okay, what did you say?" Roughs voice was deep and full of athority.

"Okay man, I just told her she had to control her emotions and she started yelling at me about not excepting her and something about family and then she just started to cry and thats when I called you." I barried my head deeper into his chest. He was warm and spelled like fresh air. I felt him tighten his wrap around me. If I was any closer I would be on his lap.

"Its okay. Just let it out. Its okay."

"Okay Rough whats-Oh hell. Your-and shes- And you. When were you going to tell me this?!"

"Right now is not the time."

"Oh I think its a perfect time. In fact you should of told me when you found out man. This is awesome."

"No, until she is offically part of the pack it isn't awesome, because everyday I see her she slips closer to being a wolf than human. And if you don't except her she will never have her own pack." I heard him move around on his feed and looked at Rough.

"So wait your saying until I say she's in than she's till out?"

"Did your mother not explain that to you yet?" I took a deep breath. I couldn't cry anymore but I still felt horrid. At that one moment when I yelled at Davian I just realized that my only family other than my aunt where dead. It just hit me so hard.

"Well man. dude I can't lose my best fighter and beta, and if that means Autum needs to be added to our pack then by all means she can join."

"Are you serious?" I heard someone stand.

"The carimony will happen tonight at my place."
