I had Keir untie us from the loading dock as I made my way up to the helm.

I honestly had no idea where I was going, all I knew was that I was going to get myself out to open ocean and handle it from there.

As we drifted off from the castle, the winds grew strong.

Keir wrapped a blanket around my shoulders and pulled me into his side kissing my head.

"Do you have an idea of where we may go princess?" he asked.

I rolled my eyes hating the nickname.

"Anywhere but here" I murmured, nuzzling into his warmth.

Everything was going smoothly. I felt a rush of euphoria as we sailed away from the jail I had been forced to live in for the past years.

We had almost made it to the ocean when I heard cries in the distance.

Keir tried to push me aside down the interior of the boat but I deflected him and moved towards the stern where the noise was coming from.

In the distance, I could see the foggy outline of a ship.

The boat rocked as the waters became violent.

I could sense a storm.

"Keir there's something following us" I yelled back.

"Calle it's probably the Eldorians, we shouldnt've left like this" he argued

"Little too late for that now Keir." I challenged.

I set the sails high and let the strong winds glide us across the bank towards the ocean.

As if on command the rain started its assault.

I glanced back at the ship noticing how much closer it had gotten, I could almost see the people on it.

What I did notice was the symbol on the ship.

I was a bright blue insignia symbolizing the Hyrath army

"He knows" I mumbled

"What?" yelled Keir over the rumbling of the skies.

"How does he know!?" I exclaimed.

I ran back to the helm and steered us into the open expanse of the ocean. I veered right hoping to lose them in the fog.

I heard a tink on the side of the boat. They were using their weapons?

Dumbasses must think I'm being kidnapped or else they wouldn't be shooting.

Keir worked the sails as I wove us around the sea rocks and into the heavy mists.

The boat was rocking back and forth at this point, and the weather didn't seem to want to lighten up.

I tried my best to stay calm as I glanced back finding nothing on our tail.

Great, we lost them. Now all we must face is the weather.

I steered us though the harsh storm for hours.

I was confident it would slow soon.

Keir and I both had been taking turns at the helm. I stepped up and steered the ship into the empty expanse of sea.

The wind roared and the rain slapped against my skin.

The boat rose and fell with every growing wave.

Keir came up beside me and I clung to him.

"It's gonna be ok babe just hold on" his voice was muffled in my hair.
