I felt so hot and empty.

Keir's lump of an arm was wrapped over me and all I could think of was water.

I needed water.

Rolling off the bed, my butt hit the floor with a soft pad.

I moaned at the headache that rocked through me.

Reaching for the table on my right, I tried to lift myself up off the desk.

My legs wobbled but I got up and moved to the kitchen to make myself tea.

As I waited for the kettle to go off, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror.

My face flushed and I touched my lips.

I could feel the ghost of that passionate kiss on my lips as I looked at Keir's shirt.

It was hard to know if it was the whiskey that took my breath away or the kiss, but it was knee-buckling. He made my legs feel weak.

I picked up my tea and padded over to the bed.

I placed a soft kiss on Keir's cheek and moved over toward the wardrobe.

Today I picked out a hot pink dress that hung low on my back, and a matching bathing suit underneath.

I felt bright and happy despite the pounding headache.

I decided I would join breakfast today instead of constantly sleeping myself into a coma.

Biting my lip, I forced my feet into a pair of sandy platform sandals. I wrapped up small white ribbons around my ankle and took a test walk.

They were very comfortable.

Finding a piece of paper and a pencil, I wrote Keir a short note and placed it by the bed.

The cool morning air breezed through my hair lightly.

I decided to wear it down today, with a little braid at the top. I had never left it down before because it was so long.

Keir also liked it up.

But I guessed now was the best time for a change.

I walked past the cottage and up to where I heard the most life.

A lot of people were buzzing around in the morning.

It seems I got out at just the right time, as I spotted Lilabeth grabbing some fruit and I walked up to her.

"Hey Lila" I smiled.

"Calenthe! oh honey how are you feeling?"she asked concerned.

I giggled. "I'm feeling fine Lila thank you."

She linked her arm with mine as we took a walk toward the mass of people. They were all talking and laughing around a fire. Drinking tea and juices.

I took a seat beside Kallen and Durian who were just discussing their plans for today.

"Hello ladies" Kallen smirked at us with that certain look in his eyes.

I laughed at his obviousness.

"Calenthe, Lilabeth" Durian nodded his head towards Lilabeth who blushed deeply.

I chuckled to myself.

"How's your face Durian" I laughed.

He rolled his eyes at me, one of which was healing into a nice yellow bruise.

"I'm fine little girl, don't flatter yourself." he grumbled.

Kallen laughed.

"Wow, both you and your brother have some serious attitude huh." I mused.
