Luke's POV

I groaned as I opened my head, feeling a headache start to come on. I looked over at my clock and saw it was 2am. I swung my legs around and pulled myself to sit up at the side of the bed, and placed my head in my hand.

God, but my head was sore.

"Luke?" I heard Grace say from beside me and I turned around and saw I was in Grace's bed at her house.

"Hey... how did I get here?" I asked and Grace smiled, turning on her lamp, and I squinted my eyes as the light irritated my sensitive head. I yawned and she pulled herself up and she crawled over the covers and sat beside me.

"You were quite drunk from Michael's so I took you, Calum and Annie home, only I thought it would be better if you came here instead." She said and I smiled, leaning in and kissing her quickly.

"Thanks, Grace." I said and she wrapped her arms around my stomach and I pulled her close to me, resting my chin on top of her blonde hair.

Grace was smart and she knew my Mum would kill me if I came home late... and also as drunk as I was.

"Do you think I could get something for my headache?" I asked her and she nodded.

"Down in the kitchen there is some aspirin, help yourself." She said and I smiled, before getting off the bed and walking out of Grace's bedroom.

I knew Grace's house pretty well so I easily made my way down the dark corridor and got to the stairs. I turned the light on when I got into the hallway towards the kitchen and then I entered the kitchen.

I filled up a glass of water and popped two aspirin in my mouth, along with a gulp of water. I looked at the water in my hand and I filled it up to the top again, and grabbed another glass, filling it up for Grace.

I coughed and I turned off the lights in the kitchen and was about to turn to go back upstairs when something caught my eye. There was something on the floor at Grace's front door, sticking out of the letter box.

I placed the water on the table in the hallway and went over to it, taking it out. I saw it was a note and I unfolded it, reading over it.

Dear Mr Luke Hemmings,

You are hereby invited to a party hosted by the Lord of the Manor and the owner of the Fulton Estate. You may bring a guest with you. Dress Code: Formal.

Hope to see you soon

The Lord of the Manor.

I read over the note again and I sat down on the stairs, and stared at the wall opposite me.

This is strange.

First off, I don't know why I would be invited to a fancy party like this, let alone get a personal invitation from the Lord of the Manor. And secondly, why was this delivered to Grace's house when it is addressed to me?

I felt an unsteady feeling build in my stomach. Someone must have been watching me.

"Shit." I whispered and I grabbed the cups of water and walked back upstairs and walked quickly to Grace's room.

"Hey." She said, sitting up in the bed. I handed her a glass of water and she smiled, thanking me and setting it on her bedside table.

"Hey, are you okay?" She said, moving closer to me as I sat back down in the bed.
