3rd POV

The great hall was filled with chatter. Gryffindors and Slytherins were throwing food and cutlery at each other, Ravenclaws were rolling their eyes and Hufflepuffs tried with no avail to vanish all the projectiles thrown from each side of the food fight. Hagrid was bellowing with laughter, for Flitwick had just told an excellent joke, and Dumbledore was enjoying the general chatter of his pupils when a great rumble filled the hall.

Many students had been enjoying breakfast when all the fluid was stolen from their cups and water pitchers. various fruit juices and gallons of water all joined the growing orb in the middle of the room, and a few poor souls had been drinking when it was stolen from their mouths, making them sputter. the orb began to convulse and ripple when Dumbledore shouted

"Stay calm!" then turned to the staff "who's doing this? please find the perpetrator immediately!" A blond figure shot out of the water orb and slid across the floor while a black-haired figure jumped out with a hulking black dog on her heels before she twisted, used a blade, and dissolved the monster, but she fumbled her landing and hit her head very hard on the stone floor.

"Someone get Madame Pomfrey!" someone screamed.

Dumbledore descended down to the crumpled figures, summoned some stretchers, and rushed them out of the hall as Professor McGonagall regained order in the room, Professor Snape looked as if he recognized one of the girls.

Madame Pomfrey was absolutely bewildered by her new patients. no spell other than simple cleaning charms worked. long, oozing cuts coated the blond one's arms and their entire body, and no matter what she did, they refused to close and started swelling. she had given her a potion for dreamless sleep to make sure they didn't feel any more pain. the only thing that had the most effect was potions. the girl with black hair had a large bleeding gash on her neck, but was relatively unharmed, sleeping off the concussion. she had managed to get their clothes clean, and the blond one dressed like a muggle, while the black-haired one wore a sparkling purple jumpsuit that was coated in blood and yellow dust, and nothing she did could get it clean. she left it on the foot of her bed and made sure they both were wearing pajamas, then called professor Snape.

Percy's POV

I was pacing Poseidon's cabin, waiting for Annabeth and Ariana to return. Connor Stoll had heard them talking about not wanting to be overheard, so Ariana summoned her water portals and took them somewhere else. the night was falling. I ran to the big house

"Chiron?" he called

"Yes Percy?" he turned his wheelchair around

"Annabeth and Ariana are missing" I managed to say. He looked rather alarmed

"This is worrying news. I know you just found Ariana, and you care very much about Annabeth. I shall arrange a search party in the morning" he put a hand on my shoulder "Get some rest. you are no use if you cannot fight" He turned away "and with the news I just got, I worry even more.." I left the big house, determined to find them tomorrow.

It was three am when I sat bolt upright, remembering the large saltwater fountain that gurgled in the back of the room. in my pajamas, I found a drachma and stopped before the fountain

"Oh Fleecy, do me a solid, show me, Annabeth Chase," I said. I saw a large, mostly white room illuminated by large windows flooded with sunlight. Somewhere across the Atlantic, I concluded. I spotted Annabeth's prone form lying on a white bed, covered with a pale blue blanket except for her head and arms. the right forearm was bandaged. I cut the connection

"Oh Fleecy, do me a solid, show me, Ariana Jackson," I said. Ariana was asleep in the same position as Annabeth, bandages covering her neck and cheek. her black hair was spread around, moving on its own, trying to cover her eyes. I cut the connection. They were safe and cared for. I would tell Chiron in the morning.
