Percy/Seastorm's POV

"How do we kill a god?" Stoic asked

"We can't kill him, per-say, but we can hurt him badly enough to stop him from destroying the world," Annabeth says. My wise girl can talk to the Vikings. With the chief and staff, they moved away to formulate a battle plan. I was stuck watching Ariana, who had pushed herself too far.

"Dad. If you can hear me, please send a sign Ariana is going to be okay. I can't bear to lose her again." I silently pray. Shifting in my place, I spot Will making his way over. He still stumbles a little, but he's getting the hang of walking.

"How is she?" he asked

"Sleeping." I flick my tail. I itch to fly over the water. Will sees this

"I'll watch her for a little while. you seem stir-crazy" he laughs, and I gleefully leap out the exit and spread my aching wings. Finally. Swooping down into the sea, I spot the tracks Ariana made when she dragged Hiccup. Diving deeper, I swirl around a small rock formation and see a green glow further out. I swim to it.

"Perseus Jackson. Brother to my champion" a voice echoes in my head

"Thalassa" I dipped my head

"Your presence is not required here." That sounds like Ariana. It is Ariana, but it was her human form, and a bit ghostly. I left. That was a weird experience. Flying back to the cave, I walk around Astrid, who gently strokes my head. I purr slightly, it feels so nice! I move back to Ariana, who is glowing softly, a tiny light shed off her luminous scales. I guess this is part of whatever she's doing with Thalassa. A single eye flutters open

"Percy? Why did you interrupt my training?" She snarled "Thalassa is teaching me how to use her power. She is fading dangerously fast. I need to learn." Ariana stands up, and jumps out the exit, me following behind, but a blast of water keeps me from following as she plunges into the sea.

"Curse you, Ariana!" I roar.

Annabeth's POV

Meetings were hard. I had to wait until all the other Vikings got a word in before I could raise my head and tell about Aegir's intentions. Many thought we should just offer him a generous sacrifice to please him, others thought that we should just kill him without a thought

"Gods cannot be killed. We can wound him badly enough to stop him from achieving his goal instead. So we must make a plan to separate him from his power and stop his regeneration."

"And how do we do that?" An idiot asked

"Aegir has one goal. Gain enough power to flood the world without overextending himself. We have two beings who can give him that power"

"Who?"

"Seashell and Seastorm. They are our bait in the trap. One person has to fake swapping sides and offer them as a gift of allegiance, leading him to a place far from the water to cut him off. We all attack him, and wound him enough to stop his plans."
