Percy/Seastorm's POV

Will had used his power to regrow Glede's tail. REGROW. True, he had to sleep for two days after, but he has the best power out of all of us. Glede had jumped around happily, waving his tail everywhere. Hiccup had decided that the trio of doom (Annabeth, Ariana, and I) were perfectly capable of taking care of ourselves and would let us come when they flew out to wreck dragon hunter ships. Ariana had joined Glede's happy dance when she heard this from Annabeth, who was able to translate their language for us.

Everyone laughed when Glede tumbled into Ariana, who fell onto Hookfang, who fell onto Nico, who roared, then whapped Glede for starting the chain. this turned into a full-on fight between them, trying to whap each other without getting hit. they started playing in the air, where Ariana leaped into the sky and joined, then Annabeth decided it was time for them to stop and got sucked in too, ending in all the dragons trying to whap each other while flying, the humans laughed on the ground. Meatlug, who had a mace for a tail, didn't join.

"Hunter ships!" Stormfly roared. Glede and Ariana were the only ones who didn't go back to the stables, flying onward toward the approaching boat to destroy it. Ariana spat mist over the deck, and Glede used the cover to blast everything to pieces while Ariana, who slid belowdecks, released their captives, who flew away from the sinking wreckage. They worked with such accuracy it was like they had been working together for years, side by side. When they rejoined the rest of the group, Ariana yipped as she pulled an arrow out of her front leg, coated in a sort of green paste. All the humans gasped

"Dragon root. Seashell should have fallen asleep by now" one murmured. Ariana continued to pull these arrows from her body.

"Is Seashell immune?" Astrid asked

"She must be if she got hit by four dragon root arrows and is still flying," Hiccup said. A lone dragon hunter aimed from down below. I howled a warning, but Glede reacted too slowly and the arrow meant for him hit Hiccup, knocking him from the saddle and down toward the sea. Ariana flipped her head down, and throwing her body into an impossibly steep dive, caught him before they both hit the water. Glede tried to follow but was barred by the icy water.

"Ariana can make air bubbles! Hiccup will be safe!" I roared "I shall go search!" I dived too, plunging into the water. I looked for any sign of them, and the only thing that was remotely suspicious was a small trail in the sand like something heavy was dragged along the sea floor. I burst up again and found ice forming on my left wing. Dammit! I start plummeting as fast as Hiccup before Annabeth snags my icy wing and flaps her two with mine.

"Seaweed brain" she yelps.

"Thank you!" I yelp back, and we fly back toward the stables with Glede, who waited after the others had left.

"Did you find them?" He snarls

"No. I think the ice stopped Ariana from flying back to us. You can see what happened to my wing." I lifted my wing, which I kept near a torch to thaw it out. "If Ariana can resist whatever the dragon root stuff was, I'm guessing she has Hiccup in a water bubble, dragging herself along the sea floor, making her way back." I shake an ice chunk off me.

Ariana/Seashell's POV

That was a mistake. The water immediately froze my wings when I tried to take off, so I resigned to pulling a panicking Hiccup through the sea in an air bubble. when I got tired, I curled up around the bubble and slept for a while, then continued dragging it. keeping the bubble up took all my strength. I had to drag myself on the sea floor just to keep Hiccup alive. going up required too much strength. He calmed down after the first day, then it dawned on him that I could only keep up like this for so long before I pushed my already stretching limit into the realms of the impossible. He kept motioning up, but I kept ignoring him. I was tempted to just burst the bubble and take a long, truly peaceful nap, but then I would be condemning him to death by drowning. I moved passed some coral reefs. I slumped down, too tired to keep moving.

"Keep moving. Keep going, my chosen, my darling girl"

"Who are you?"

"Keep moving, my darling. Keep going. you can do it. prove yourself"

"Who?"

"You, my darling, my chosen. You. I will lend you my strength. Go. Help him" A surge of power returned to me, And I pushed harder than before, trying. I will not fail I thought I refuse to fail.

3rd POV

By the end of the fifth day, the shore was in sight of the desolate dragon, dragging her human companion alongside her underwater. Climbing a jagged rock at the base of a cliff with the human clinging to her neck, She roared the loudest thing since the Red Death rose from her volcano, declaring her survival to the world. To unsuspecting Berkians, it was an earthquake that rivaled the one that caused the crumbling of the first feast hall. To the dragons, it declared the arrival of another Draconic Ruler. To the gods, it said "I belong among you. I belong here" It was a roar that could rival the war cry of Thor. A roar to move planets and shake the stars from their spots in the sky. To three dragons that paced the stables, It was a roar that marked the return of their friend. The desolate cries of the three brought the Zippleback along with them, carrying the spent dragon while one of the others carried the human back to their cave, shivering from the icy breath of winter.
