Percy's POV
I shot out of the cabin at first light, wanting to get going with a search party as soon as possible, and I needed to show Chiron my discovery with the Iris message. I stopped at the Athena Parthenos, digging a drachma from my pocket and placing it on the pedestal. Continuing on to the big house. I saw Chiron on the front porch. I ran over
"Chiron! I have an idea about where they are!" I said "I Iris-messaged them last night, around three in the morning. to them, it was still daytime. I think Ariana accidentally teleported them into a trap-it's easier if I show you"
"Slow down Percy. what are you going to show me?" he asked
"We need a rainbow," I say
We heated up the hot plate in the rec room and tossed water onto it. I threw a drachma into the rainbow
"Oh Fleecy, do me a solid, show me Annabeth Chase and Ariana Jackson" I murmured. the Iris message put us in the same place as before, hovering above. Chiron saw Annabeth unconscious on the white bed, with Ariana standing by her side.
"I think Ariana accidentally teleported them into a trap, then, after getting ambushed, teleported them wherever they are now," I whispered
"Well, they are safe, that is what matters. and their wounds are being tended to," he whispered back. I cut the connection as Annabeth began to stir and thrash in her bed.
"where are they?" I asked
"I do not know" Chiron replied. " we do know they are in Britain, the time zones are correct. I do think Nico will be of some help, can you get him?" Chiron
Nico's POV
I heard Percy coming before I saw him. I was sitting beneath a tree at the border of the woods
"Nico! Chiron wants us at the big house!" he shouted, then took off. I had been reading a new novel about someone who scaled a cliff face without a harness. I had been half enjoying it when Percy busted in. I slid into the shadows and emerged in the big house, behind the door to the basement. I pushed the door open as Percy came through the front door, panting. Percy caught me up on what happened with Annabeth and Ariana when Will stumbled through the front door. we caught him up too and went to find Chiron, who sat next to the hot plate.
"Good, you're here. Nico, I have an odd request. can you feel Ariana's spirit?" he said, putting a hand on the table. I probed around in the regular pool of death and felt nothing like Ariana's. I shook my head.
"Can you try, say, try an area in Britain, perhaps? a piece of the abandoned countryside?" he asked. I tried again, pushing my normal limits beyond America. found a patch of dead sailors from the 1800s. I kept pushing until I felt an empty patch, and then, a barrier.
"found a barrier. I'm not allowed past" I gasped. Will grabbed my shoulder.
"Then I believe we have found where they are. do you think, if, in close proximity to that particular barrier, you could find it again?" Chiron asked, I nodded then thought back to a friend and child of Orcus who went missing a while back.
"Then let us ready the flying chariot, and get Annabeth and Ariana back." Chiron finished
