Ariana's POV

My head throbbed. my arms ached. I didn't even want to think about my legs. I could see enough to discover I was in an infirmary bed of some sort, wearing a set of white linin pajamas. I looked to my left, and saw Annabeth. I gasped. her right forearm was swelling from infection, wrapped in a clean white bandage. Her hair was a matted mess of filth and blood, and I couldn't see the rest of her, she was covered in a blanket. A woman had come out of an office in the back, carrying a bottle of cleaning alcohol and fresh bandages. I feigned sleep, watching her tend to Annabeth's infected arm from the corner of my eye. she turned to me, pulling the covers off my left leg and pulling off a bandage soaked with blood on my foot. I winced silently as the alcohol stung, and she reapplied the bandage. Annabeth started to thrash, so the lady turned from my leg to help Annabeth swallow a drink of some kind. she finished re-bandaging me and moved back to the office.

"Annabeth" I whispered "Annabeth!" I pushed the covers off and stumble to her bed "Annabeth!"

3rd POV

Students were lying in the grass by the lake, enjoying a warm, breezy day. the giant squid was happy too, it waggled it's tentacles in the air to the beat of some invisible music. even Dumbledore was enjoying the late sun, he had summoned a chair by the glimmering lake under a tree and was enjoying a good book.

A giant chicken-looking thing fell through the sky and crumbled to dust, followed by a chariot pulled by pegasi. The chariot gracefully danced across the sky, then turned to land on the lake's shore. Dumbledore stood up as many students went running away. a black Pegasus and a pure white one pulled the golden chariot onto the sand. A black haired form leaped out.

"I'm here for Annabeth Chase and Ariana Jackson." he said.
