~~~Loki's pov~~~
After hearing the soldier's words, I knew I had to find her. And fast.
She's gone through far too much these past few days when it came to Hydra.
I closed my eyes and concentrated on Catherine. Her eyes, her smile, all the things I loved about her.
When I opened my eyes again, I was in an entirely different place.
There was a long, dark hallway lined with steel doors in front of me, leading me to believe what the place was.
This was a prison. A Hydra prison.
Since this was enemy territory, I decided it was safer to search for her on foot and not teleport into a possible death trap.
I checked the first four doors on my left, and all were empty. When I came across the fifth one, I noticed it was locked.
She's in there.
I used my magic to break the lock on the door and cautiously stepped inside.
The first thing I noticed, aside from the blood-splattered cement walls and floor, was Catherine.
She was chained to the wall, a gag in her mouth, preventing her from speaking or calling out for help.
Her eyes widened in fear when she saw me and started yelling something I couldn't understand.
Seconds later, I blacked out.
~~~Catherine's pov~~~
I pulled against the chains that held my hands and legs to the wall as two Hydra guards knocked him out and dragged him out of the room.
They used me as bait to get to him. Whatever happens to him after this is my fault.
Whitehall walked in seconds after the guards left and removed the gag from my mouth.
"Lovely. Now we have a witch and a god. Two weapons of mass destruction."
"Let him go," I demanded weakly, tired from all the beatings I'd gotten since arriving here.
"And miss this excellent opportunity? Not a chance, witch." He sneered and walked back to a small table that held several syringes and other surgical equipment. "And don't worry. We aren't doing too much to him. Just modifying the same serum we use on you to fit his abilities."
"Whitehall, you sick son of a-" He stopped me by jabbing a syringe into my neck, making me pass out again.
I'm not sure how long I was out. I just know that the sight I woke up to and what followed would haunt me for years.
Loki was kneeling on the ground, about eight feet away from me. His suit was cut and ripped in several places. And he was bruised and bleeding. On top of all that, a guard was pointing a gun at his head.
"Loki-" I let out a small sob, making him look up at me, his eyes holding so much pain.
"Look who's finally awake. I brought you a friend, Witch." Whitehall strolled in, holding up some jumper cables in one hand and a sharp knife in the other.
"I told you before, and I'll say it again. Let. Him. Go." I said through clenched teeth.
"I have a better idea. I'll take this knife, cut him up, and make you watch. Hmmm? Sounds like a pretty good plan to me."
~~~Loki's pov~~~
I know I looked like death, and I felt like it too.
Hydra knows their torture; I'll give them that. The sick bastards.
