(A/N- Okay, before we continue with Infinity War, I feel I need to explain a change I made to the Infinity Stones. So, for plot reasons, Loki obviously wasn't on the ship after Ragnarok, meaning Thanos does not have the Tesseract at this moment in time.

Since Loki wasn't taken back to Asgard after 2012, neither was the Tesseract and it remained in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s protection on Earth.

And since Thanos doesn't have the Space Stone, I'm going to switch up some of the powers the stones possess. Like, both the Power and Space Stones have the power of teleportation. So, after Thanos destroyed the evacuation ship, he used the Power Stone to teleport away with the Black Order.

~~~Loki's pov~~~

We all stared at the man in shock, including me.

He was just on Sakaar. How was he here? And where was Thor?

All these thoughts rang out loudly in my mind as Rhodes led us into an adjoining conference room to talk.

The scientist made his way over to me and Catherine as the others filed into the room.

"Thor told me the news. Congratulations to the both of you." He smiled weakly at us before following the others in.

Catherine looked up at me, confused. "Thor?" She raised a brow.

"He was on Sakaar with us," I murmured, still a bit shell-shocked.

"Sakaar?!" Her eyes widened in disbelief.

Right. I forgot to tell her about Banner...

My bad.

"What is Sakaar?" Rogers spoke up from the other side of the room before turning to Banner. "And you said something about Thor?"

Banner nodded, fiddling with a pen in his hand. "Sakaar is a planet far away from here that I was stuck on as the Hulk for almost three years. And Thor was there for... a lot of reasons."

Decent summary, I suppose.

"Then where is Thor now? Hell, we could certainly use his help with those alien things in Edinburgh." Wilson crossed his arms.

Catherine exchanged a perplexed look with me at the mention of aliens.

What in the nine realms did we miss?

Banner's expression quickly turned to a solemn one, making me a bit nervous. "Thor is... I'm not sure where he is. We were on a ship on our way to Earth when we got attacked."

"Attacked? Attacked by who?" Natasha raised her brow.

The man shrugged in response, but in his eyes, I could see clear terror. "This powerful alien named Thanos."

His words made my blood freeze in my veins and my heart drop to the pit of my stomach.

My mother was right. He was coming.

And I could have been on that ship.

Catherine looked at me with wide eyes, her features filled with sheer panic as she gripped my hand tightly.

"Is that who was in New York with Stark? And those people trying to kill Vision?" The girl Maximoff twin, Wanda, questioned, still standing by the android with her brother.

Wilson walked over to the holo-table in the center of the room, pulled up video footage of what looked like an intense fight, and froze the frame to focus on two aliens that were nauseatingly familiar. "These are the guys. Recognize them?"
