Lily never realised how big London actually was, after getting lost a million times she finally made her way onto the street where her potential new home was.
She parked in the driveway and sat for a moment just grasping in the surroundings. A park down the road, a lovely view and it was close to the city centre.
She stepped out the car when she saw a woman making her way up the driveway."Oh hello! You must be Lily, I'm Jane your estate agent" The woman said as she held her hand out which Lily gladly shook.
"Well let's get the ball rolling eh! Come on in" She added as she unlocked the door with the keys.Lily's POV
"Wow! This is.... amazing" Were the only words I could actually get out. This house was absolutely beautiful, there was so much space, the kitchen was massive with circular dining table and chairs. The downstairs bathroom was of a decent size considering it only had a toilet and sink but the upstairs bathroom was triple the size and included both shower and a cornered bathtub.
"It is isn't it, well i'll let you have a proper look around and get a feel for the place. I'll meet you in the kitchen after?" Jane said as she made her way to the kitchen leaving me alone.
I looked around the house and the more I discovered, the more I wanted to live here. It already felt like home, I could honestly see myself living here and building a life for myself."Jane? I'll take it!" I exclaimed as i walked back into the kitchen.
"Ah that's amazing Lily! Well we just need to sign a few things and... the place is all yours".THIRD PERSON
Lily was beyond excited for her new adventure, her new life. Jane handed her the keys and Lily let out a shriek. The moment that Jane left, Lily called her dad to tell him the good news and of course being the supportive father he is, he was absolutely overjoyed although secretly he dreaded letting his eldest daughter leave home. She was his rock, always had been and always will be no matter the distance between them.
Lily was going to travel back home to NewCastle and gather her belongings which was basically a bedroom and move in officially within the week.
Lily being the emotional person she was, she knew that saying goodbye would be hard especially to her brothers and sisters because for the first time in their lives, she wouldn't be there to help them with homework or take them to school or their after school activities and what broke her heart more was the fact that she wouldn't be there to see her unborn sibling grow up.Lily's POV
• three days later •"Well, I'll be off then" I said as passed Poppy back over to my Dad— I hugged everyone one last time, with tears rolling down my face I opened the car door.
"We'll all be down to visit you soon" My dad said as he stood back with a few tears on his cheeks.
"I guess this is it! I love you all so much, bye!" With a wave I quickly plugged in my seatbelt.
I heard a chorus of goodbyes as I sat in the car and turned the keys, waving at everyone one last time I began driving away.
After a few hours of driving and of course a few stops for food and to use the bathroom, I finally made my way home.I pulled into the drive, got out the car and opened the boot before grabbing as much as I could and sitting it in the hallway after I unlocked the front door. It took me a few trips before the car was finally empty.
The moving guys wouldn't be bringing the rest of my stuff until tomorrow so I just had to make do with what I have now which wasn't much, I made a mental note to go food shopping tomorrow morning.I spent most of the night organising and putting things away in the places I wanted them to be before curling up on the couch and falling asleep at around 1am.
The morning was spent with food shopping and cleaning. It was currently 3pm and I was currently attempting to build all my new and old furniture, struggling might I add when the doorbell unexpectedly rang.
"Hiya, I'm Jade Limond, I live a few doors down and saw you moving in and just wanted to say hi" The woman said as I opened the door.
We chatted briefly on the doorstep before I eventually invited her in.
"Do you need some help? I can get my boyfriend round he won't mind" Jade asked as she looked around at all the furniture piled up in the living room.
"Er yeah, why not, the more the merrier!" I said cheerfully in hopes to make new friends. Jade excused herself as she left the room to call her boyfriend."He's on his way, won't be long" She said as she walked back in a few minutes later.
The two of us chatted for a while and attempted to sort all the furniture but seemed to get nowhere. It had been about forty-five minutes by the time Jade's boyfriend got here."Lily, this is Harry and Harry this is my new best friend Lily" Jade said as she welcomed her boyfriend.
"Hope you don't mind Lily, I brung a friend to help—this is Tobi." I nodded as I greeted the two boys who'd just entered my home.Jade, Harry and Tobi and I had a laugh together, who knew building furniture could be this much fun.
"You should definitely hang out with us Lils, You're fucking hilarious" Harry said as he finished putting the slats on the base of the bed. I watched him as he flipped the mattress on top."Yeah definitely, the boys would love to meet you" Tobi agreed as he helped Harry turn the bed around and into the place where I wanted it to be.
"I might just take you up on that" I chuckled as I pointed to where the bed should go.
"You know what let me get this place sorted and everyone can come round? Have a drink or something?" I added, a sudden urge of confidence came over me and I was happy it did.
"I'll let everyone know" Harry said as he pulled his phone at and began texting the group chat.
"How many people exactly?" I asked as I looked up at Harry.
"Eleven or twelve of us, Is that cool?"
"For a second I thought you were gonna invite the whole of bloody London" I laughed, luckly this house was big enough for that many people.THIRD PERSON
Everyone left a few hours later, Lily told Harry and Tobi that everyone could come over next friday if they weren't busy so she had plenty of time to prepare. She was so content that she had made some new friends and hopefully some more by the end of next week.
She fell asleep in her bed this time with a huge smile on her face, she was already loving London life and could wait to see what the future unfolded.
