**Xenon's POV**

"If you ever need us, just call," Blake said, and I nodded.

"We'll be right back!" Jake yelled.

"Don't forget the bar, okay? On Sunday!" Blue reminded.

I could see the happiness in their eyes as they got into their cars and drove off. I don't know what was up with them that they suddenly changed their behavior, especially during our conversation. Regardless, this is a chance to be taken.

They suggested a good friend who they said would definitely offer a number of his people. I told them I couldn't just add untrusted people to my group, but they insisted their good friend was trustworthy—albeit a drug lord.

See? Trustworthy, but a drug lord. Tch. However, Lucas and the rest of the Insigma Fighters agreed, so I had no choice but to do so. Hoping that the person they were talking about was truly trustworthy, I couldn't even trust the Blue Fire Gang. How could I trust their friend? I sighed; I had no choice.

He could only be seen at a bar called Ashton on Sunday night. The moment I heard "Ashton Bar," I decided to back out, but they insisted they wanted to have some fun for a moment.

So, yet again, I agreed. I also wanted my friends to have a bit of enjoyment; if the bar could be the answer, then fine. I heaved a deep breath and sighed.

Things were going smoothly, but I hoped that in times of battle, things would go just as smoothly.

It must be good to have the Blue Fire Gang, but damn it! They are a pain in the ass! How could they touch my girl!?

I walked toward the living room and saw Drena doing the dishes.

"Where's Claire?" I asked.

"Oh, she's upstairs. Probably sleeping," she answered.

"Oh, I see." I nodded.

I turned my back to go upstairs, but I hadn't taken a step when...

"Where are you going?" Drena asked.

"In my room," I answered with a questioning look. "Why?"

"Don't you have anything else to do here?" she asked again.

"Do I have anything to do? As far as I know, I have nothing left to do here," I said and started walking up the stairs, but once again, I was stopped.

"Xen," Lucas called.

I turned back to see Coby, Adrian, and Lucas.

"Can we talk for a moment?" Adrian asked.

Nodding, I went back to the living room, followed by them.

...

"So, what now?" We were sitting on the couches. They said we would talk, but until now, no one had spoken.

"How much do you know about Claire?" Adrian suddenly asked.

I felt a rush of anger. "If this conversation is about her, you should stop." I stood up, aiming to walk out, but Lucas grabbed my arm.

"Xen, please, don't be stubborn. We know you're curious about Claire, and we are also dying to know her. We've been friends for so long; we've been together in tough times, and we won't do anything stupid to you," he said.

I know, but I hate when someone talks about her, especially behind her back.

"We need to be vigilant, Xen. I'm not saying you can't trust her, but... how can we, if we don't know anything about her?" Adrian said.

He must be right. There are so many questions in my mind about Claire and that... Silencer.

If the Tarre Family is not involved with Marco's activities, then why did the Silencer follow me a few days ago?

I went back to sitting and heard them sigh in relief.

"So, let's start from here. When I came to the Administration Office, I did not find her profile. Where could it be, then? All students should have their files there," Lucas started, but I was too dazed, thinking of so many things.

"If Marco didn't take it... Claire did," Adrian concluded, which made me look at him.

"Why would Marco take it, then? As far as I know, Claire doesn't belong to the Classified Files," Coby added, thinking deeply.

"Then she took it," Lucas finally concluded.

"But why? Is she hiding her identity?" Coby asked.

"I don't know, but she can control Uno. Even I can't do that!" Lucas said frustratingly.

"Well, she made the Blue Fire Gang work with us," Adrian said with a smirk.

"She can do things that are hard to explain," Coby murmured.

"She seems like someone... someone more than we expected..." Lucas said, looking at me and making eye contact.

"Oops!" I suddenly heard the sound of broken glass, and when I looked to see where it came from...

"Cassandra! Are you okay?" Coby rushed to her, inspecting her hands.

"I'm sorry; the tray slipped from my hands," she said apologetically, looking at me.

"No worries; it's good to know you weren't hurt." I smiled at her.

"Thank you," she said and started cleaning up the broken glass.

"Don't; let me handle it," Coby offered. Nodding, she rushed toward the kitchen.

Did something happen? Is there something wrong?

"Set this conversation aside. I have something to do, and please stop talking about her. Set aside your curiosity. Claire is on our side; whoever she is doesn't matter," I said and walked out toward my room.

If I were ever to know her identity, it shouldn't come from their mouths or my intuition... but from her.

As long as she couldn't say it, I'd wait until the day she was ready. It is better to stay ignorant than to learn something unexpected... something that could destroy us.

So I will wait... for her.

The moment I reached my room and opened the door...

I was shocked to see my room... unused.

Oh shit! Where did she go?

I immediately rushed to find her and suddenly decided to check the bathroom. But when I opened the bathroom door...

I could feel my heartbeat hammering too fast against my chest, and heat suddenly consumed my body.

"Fuck," I murmured.

I'm dead.
