My eyes lit up. I thought she wouldn't interrupt... I thought she didn't care. But who am I kidding? The monster has already fallen in love with a man... Xenon.

"Do I have any choice?" Xenon asked, worry evident in his voice.

"No." She answered. I heard Xenon sigh in defeat.

I smiled secretly; love can destroy anything, even a cold, ruthless monster turned soft.

Love... I looked at Adrian. He was looking at me with concern.

"Whatever happens to us, please take care of yourself, Dren. Promise me." His eyes looked pleading.

Once again, I couldn't help the tear that wanted to escape. "Everything will be okay," I reassured him, but it was more for myself.

"Let's go," Xenon ordered the boys.

"Aye, aye, Captain!" the others answered, but Adrian's eyes didn't leave mine as we kept staring at each other, full of love.

He kissed my forehead. "I love you," he whispered.

"I love you too." I hugged him tight, and we let go of each other as he walked toward the door, following the rest of his friends. Gone to their battle.

**Venice Claire's POV**

I feel something's off today... something isn't right, and my intuition has never been wrong.

I asked for a condition... I hope he can meet it.

It's 1 PM; by the time they reach the school, it could be 3 PM, and preparations take 1-2 hours before the intense battle. Probably 4-5 PM they will start... 2-3 hours of waiting... we might not be too late by that time. I hope so... I trust my people.

They can protect him before I come... and I trust Xenon, including the strength of the rest. They all have the potential to fight for a good battle that will last.

They were already out of the house, probably heading to their cars... until I couldn't ignore my stomach churning anymore.

With my speed, the girls didn't notice my disappearance as I hurried toward Xenon's car before it drove away.

I knocked on his window; he opened it, and I could see Lucas in the passenger seat, but I ignored him. "You forgot something," I blankly stated.

"What?" he asked curiously.

"Out," I ordered, and he obeyed, still wearing curiosity on his face.

"Claire, as far as I know, I brought ev—"

I didn't let him finish. I grabbed the collar of his black leather jacket and slammed my lips against his, closing my eyes and feeling him.

He froze for a moment until I felt his lips quirk into a smile between ours, and he responded to my kiss.

He held my waist, pulling me closer to him. I felt his other hand hold my head, and with just a swift motion, I realized I was already leaning against the side of his car, still kissing.

With my heightened senses, I could hear the others shouting in astonishment inside their cars. But we ignored them, as our world united as one, feeling no one but us.

Our lips battled as if we were both fighting for each other's breath. He sucked my lower lip and kept exploring my mouth with his soft, delicate tongue. I pulled his head to deepen the kiss.

I wanted him... all of him, right here, right now.

This isn't me.

What was happening to me??

I broke the kiss and caught my breath, but the truth was... I was trying to figure out who I was right now. The dark one. My eyes were still closed, calming myself, and I could feel his breath fanning on the side of my face.

"You're the greatest thing that happened to me, Claire... my life... my future," he whispered.

I smiled and looked at him. The moment my eyes turned back to normal, I saw his eyes filled with pure happiness, but I could still sense a pinch of worry deep inside them.

"I'll come if you aren't back by 7," I stated, reminding him.

"I'll come back to you before 7, Claire," he said.

"Enough, lover boy! Time is running!" Lucas laughed, peeking through the windshield.

"Alright, I'll be going." He smiled weakly, and I nodded.

He went back to the car, and they drove away while I remained standing in my spot, watching them go far from me.

"So, 7 PM, huh?" Uno appeared out of nowhere.

"Yeah." I coldly stated.

"Do you think they can make it until 7?" she asked, even this strong Uno showing evidence of concern.

"They can," I assured her, still wearing my cold expression.

"We can go there anytime today." She smiled sheepishly, testing my resolve. But I knew more than anything that she was insisting on going with them and was waiting for my order.

"Let them have their own battle, and we will have ours... later," I said, and she smirked. Even with her nerdy look, the monster inside her was still visible.

"Great then. I really need it." She licked her lips... in thirst. A thirst to kill. And I was too, ready for a kill. Just then, my eyes turned red for a second.

**Blake's POV**

I was driving toward the Martinez Grey Academy, following Xenon's car.

"Claire seems uneasy... what do you think could it be?" All of a sudden, Blue asked.

"Yeah, I think there's something wrong," Jacob concluded.

"We better keep an eye on Xenon," I stated seriously.

"This has gotta be the best adventure!" Jake cheered excitedly.

**Xenon's POV**

Today is Saturday; certainly, no classes, and most of the students went home—a perfect time to attack.

Bryan and all of our people inside the campus are already in position. We are preparing here outside the campus. I brought hundreds of people with me, and I hope my plan goes well.

The campus is a rectangular shape, which is so wide, but we divided the group and ensured the most number of people were on the side where there are more enemies.

"Surround the place!" I ordered, and everyone went to each side of the walls, surrounding each side and corner.

The Eastside was led by Martin, while on the west was Ricky and his group. We will slowly invade the facility and kill anyone who gets in the way.

You might be wondering where the Blue Fire Gang is? Well, they are already inside the campus, spying on the place and ready for my cue to attack.

The truck was already prepared to secure all victims in the testing facility... we will save them. I did not realize my hands were clenched.

We will invade the campus comprehensively, and with just enough weapons, we can make it.

The victims were already informed of the plan and have been oriented by Bryan and his people inside the facility. Diego, a bomber and one of my loyal people inside, has planted bombs in each corner of the facility.

Once it explodes, it will create a big explosion that might destroy the whole campus if there is a big nuclear weapon hidden inside it. But Diego assured me that there is no such thing in the facility because most finished weapons have already been delivered to their clients... including the strongest ones.

So the explosion will just destroy the whole facility, including the mini forest.

I, along with the rest of the Insigma Fighters, casually walked toward the gate. Just like the old times; besides, we are still students here.
