**Xenon's POV**

I missed her... so much. And I’ll go crazy if I can’t see her for another day. Oh God, please, just give me one day to see Claire... once again.

Every passing day without her feels like... I’m going to explode!

I am really crazy... crazy for her. I drove the car faster than before.

I know she loves me; I can feel it, but it’s too painful to assume. However, even if she doesn’t love me, I'll fight for her. Her feelings will deepen and grow for me as time goes by.

Blake's words cloud my mind.

**Flashback**

"Wait, I think you need to hear this." I heard him breathe on the other line. "At the Ashton bar that night, two men died. They were sent by the Degouti Mafia to spy and kill you. I heard you killed one of their big bosses, so they sought revenge... but Claire killed them first before they could." I gasped, but how? She was with me the entire time. "Don’t ask me how; even I don’t know. The only thing I know is that something flew past me, like a bullet coming from her." Suddenly, I remembered the marbles she was playing with before we entered the bar.

"That same night, the Degouti Mafia attacked your house..." I cut him off, too shocked by the revelations.

"What!? But I didn’t even sense them coming," I said, unable to believe what I heard.

"You couldn’t because you sleep so soundly," he laughed on the other line. "By the way, they entered your house, and I don’t know what happened because when we arrived, hundreds of dead men were already lying on the floor. You owe us, Xenon. We didn’t sleep the whole night cleaning up your mess!"

That night... it was a blackout, but when I looked for Claire, I saw her kick a hand... it was probably from one of those men.

"Tch," I said, speechless.

"Well," he suddenly turned serious, "I told you this because I want you to clean up your mess. Don’t let my master suffer; save her... I know you’re the only person who can. I trust you, man. Please don’t let us down."

"Got it. Thank you for telling me," I said and ended the call.

**End of the Flashback**

She might be what they call a monster, but she will always remain my angel. She has killed too many and may be called a legendary killer, but she will always remain my savior.

I didn’t realize that I was already at the front gate of the Tarre Mansion. I stopped the car, and the guard approached me with his flashlight. It was already dark. He knocked on my window, so I opened it.

"Sir, do you have an appointment with the Tarre?" he asked. This guard is one hell of a scary man!

"Sort of. I am looking for Claire. I need to see her," I said with determination.

"Who's Claire? I think you’re in the wrong place," he stated, looking dangerous.

"Your heiress. Tell her I—Xenon—has come." Then his face turned serious. He immediately took out his phone and dialed someone.

After a few minutes, he came back. "You must be mistaken. You should go back home."

Did Claire deny me?

"No, please, I need to talk to her. Just tell her I'm here," I pleaded.

"No one knows about you. Go home, or I'll dig your grave here." His voice sounded deadly. I sighed. "Fine." I started backing up my car.

If you won’t take me inside, then... I pushed the gearshift up and pressed the gas pedal hard.

I’ll take myself inside.

The car sped up and crashed through the gate. I heard the guard curse and start firing at my car. I accelerated even more.

She must be there; I want to see her, to talk to her. I must be crazy, and yet I truly am crazy for her! I’ll do everything to see her again, to have her by my side.

Seeing their mansion, I immediately got out of the car. "Claire! Claire! Please talk to me!" I pleaded, shouting at the mansion.

Please, Claire... face me. Then suddenly, I saw men approaching me. Shit!

**Carlo's POV**

"Carlo! Who was that?" Mom yelled from the kitchen.

"I don’t know. Maybe one of your daughter’s suitors," I yelled back, and after a moment, she was already in front of me.

"Really!? Oh my G! I want to meet him!" Mom cheered excitedly. "Why didn’t you invite him inside?"

"I’m hungry; where’s the food?" I demanded but received a hit from her.

"Didn’t I teach you to be polite!? Where is he?" she scolded.

"I gave him some entertainment, okay? He’s outside, probably exercising," I shrugged.

"Aish! You!" She closed her eyes, calming herself while I gave her my sheepish smile. She sighed and walked outside. I followed her.

The moment I opened the door, I was surprised by what I saw. Did he... do this!? Nine of our men were lying on the floor and then... another one! I looked at him, wide-eyed.

He’s kneeling from exhaustion, trying to stand up. Did he fight them alone in combat!?

"Claire... I need to see her," he murmured more to himself. The guards aimed their guns at him, but Mom raised her hand, stopping them.

"Whoa! That was... amazing!" I smirked, clapping my hands. Liking the scene.

I was already notified by Zoey that someone would come looking for Venice, and, charan! There he is!

I told the guard not to let him in, but he was hardheaded, as I really wanted him to be.

I’ve also prepared some entertainment for him—a 1 vs. 10 combat—and it looks like he’s stronger than I thought. Still standing on his feet.

He exceeded my expectations.

"What do you need, young man?" Mom asked, walking toward him.

"You heard him, Mom, tch." I said sarcastically.

"Quiet, Carlo. You disappointed me today," she scolded and came closer to me. "Did you wish your sister to be barren!?" she whispered angrily.

I bit my lower lip, trying my best not to laugh. She’s long-awaited a grandson, always pushing me to have one.

Poor little sister, it seems you’ll conceive first before me.

"Claire... where is she?" he asked weakly, trying to balance himself as he stood.

"Would you like to have a coffee inside?" Mom asked politely. "I want to have a little chat with you since my husband is on a business trip." And she smiled sheepishly.

This is bad.
