I woke up feeling the soft-hard pillow beside me. Warm and cozy, I hovered closer. Just then, soft snores and the steady beating of a heartbeat reached my ear.

I immediately opened my eyes to see Xenon peacefully sleeping. I sat up and quietly got out of bed unnoticed.

Taking my hooded jacket, I went out of the room and walked downstairs directly toward the Blue Fire Gang's room. Without knocking, I unlocked the door and opened it.

I slowly closed the door, and even in the dark, only the light ray coming from the moonlight passing through the window glass gave shimmering lighting to the four sleeping figures of men.

**Blake's POV**

I keep running to nowhere. Someone is chasing me! I'm tired, and I can't catch my breath anymore as if horror has covered my whole body.

I stumbled on my feet and fell to the ground. Even in the darkness of the night, I can see the silhouette of a monster coming toward me.

I immediately sat up, slowly trying to move backward away from the monster.

"No... please." I begged, but it seemed like the monster heard nothing, not even my pleas.

It held something from the back and then pulled it out, revealing a silver sword that shimmered in the moon rays. When the monster's hand raised, aiming to swing the sword toward me... I gasped, opening my eyes. A nightmare.

Just then, I felt an unusual aura. I immediately looked at the corner and suddenly sat up, moving backward in terror. I could feel my heart getting out of my ribcage. Déjà vu.

"What the heck!" I cursed the moment I realized it was Claire, who was coldly and quietly watching us. "Wha-what are you doing here, C-Claire?" I almost whispered in fear.

"Go, wake the others. We have your next mission," she coldly stated as she walked toward the couch beside my single bed and took a seat. My heart raced louder than before.

How could you not be scared if the Heiress of the Dark World came inside your room late at night!? 1 AM, I think?

I immediately got out of my bed and woke the others; there are three other single beds that suit us in this room, enough to have our comfort.

"Guys! Jacob, Jake, Blue. Wake up!" I whispered, yelling enough for them to hear but not for the people outside our room.

"What's the matter?" Blue asked, trying to reach for his eyeglasses.

"It's late at night. Why are you waking us?" Jake followed, not noticing Claire's presence, while Jacob remained silent, but I could sense his curiosity.

"We have a new mission." I motioned toward Claire, and they slowly turned their heads in her direction.

"Oh, fuck!" Jake cursed as he suddenly stood up from his bed.

"Shit!" Blue followed, and I saw Jacob shift in his position.

"Find your comfortable positions; I'll give you your next mission." Claire looked at her watch, and I didn't know how she could manage to see the time in this dark room, but she just did.

Maybe because of the small light from the moon rays that touched her white pajamas, almost revealing a shadow of her silhouette.

We immediately obeyed and sat in the places right where we were standing, waiting for her to talk.

"Later today is the battle everyone is waiting for. Your mission is to protect Xenon at all costs until I come," she coldly stated, and we nodded nonchalantly.

"Y-you will come? But I thought Xenon wouldn't—" Blue was cut off.

Claire stood up. "I'll come, but at a given time." Then she walked toward the door.

What does she mean by "given time"?

"If you fail, you know the consequences." Her last words before the door closed and she disappeared from our sight.

"We shouldn't be far from Xenon then," I heard Jake murmur. Indeed.

"Today we will create history," Blue stated while looking out the window.

My nightmare... is haunting me.

Claire... our Heiress. What are you thinking?

**Xenon's POV**

I woke up early in the morning and smiled after seeing an angel peacefully sleeping beside me... Staring at her face, I couldn't internalize how long I didn't want this to last; I think I wouldn't get tired of watching her.

This might be the last day I'll be seeing this lovely girl... however... I wish to spend more time with Claire. I reached to touch her face, but...

*ring* My attention was caught when my phone started ringing. I sat up in frustration and took my phone.

"What's up?" I asked in a cold voice the moment I answered it.

"Woah! Chill! Everything is set." Bryan laughed on the other line, securing the good state of our people and the hidden weapons in the facility.

He prepared for it. He's ready.

"Good. Thank you." I stated and hung up the call.

And once again, I glanced at her.

It's time to prepare myself. May God be with us.

**Drena's POV**

"Adrian, I can fight! Just please let me join..." I pleaded with him, but he ignored me as he continued putting on his shirt.

"If I say no... no. Don't be so stubborn." His voice was hard, and then he faced me with serious but... longing eyes.

I didn't realize I had shed a tear. He slowly walked toward me and cupped my face, wiping my tear.

"Dren... please be strong. I'll come back, and we will build a family," he said in a soft and assuring voice.

I nodded; I trusted him... however, I couldn't help it... I love him so much that it hurts me, thinking I might lose him.

"I love you. P-promise you'll be back, okay?" I asked, sobbing.

He smiled, weak but genuine... his eyes... were full of love; I could feel it.

He then pecked my lips. "Let's go. The others might have been waiting for us," as he held my hand, which made me calm.

"I think so too." I let out a small laugh as we walked toward the living room where the others were waiting. While on the way...

"Gross!" I immediately let go of Adrian's hand as I covered my eyes with both hands after seeing Coby and Cassy kissing on the side wall.

I felt them stop, so I peeked between my fingers. Cassy bowed her head in shame while Coby grinned.

"You two must have done more than that," he laughed and slung his arm around Cassy's shoulder as they walked away toward the living room.

Leaving me blushing in my spot.

"After the battle, we will do more than that," Adrian smirked and dragged me, following them toward the living room.

I could feel my face was on fire. Shit!

"Okay, fine, I won't insist anymore, but for one condition." I heard Claire's statement to Xenon.

"What is it?" he said challengingly, staring at her.

"At 7 in the evening, if you aren't home, expect us to be there." She said in a hard and authoritative tone. By that, even Xenon couldn't say no to her. It's final.
