If Martin was the weapon keeper and his place was destroyed, then...

"Damn it!" Adrian cursed. "Xen, what now?"

He closed his eyes, controlling himself. "How did it happen?" Xenon asked in a cold voice.

"This wouldn't have happened if there were no rat in the group!" Martin yelled in anger.

"Who?" the boys asked in chorus.

Martin looked furiously straight at the wall. "That fucking Denn... he did this! I saw him with some men... they destroyed my place! I escaped, but he even chased me and shot me right before I completely got away!" He angrily yelled, pointing at his wound.

"Find Denn and bring him to the warehouse," Xenon stated, his voice deadly as he looked seriously at Adrian.

Adrian nodded and looked at Coby. "Let's go." He ran outside, immediately followed by Coby.

"We have weapons, but they aren't enough for the war, Xen. We need to f—"

"I know, Lucas!" Xenon yelled out of anger, catching everyone's attention.

Guess he already lost his temper. I reached for his hand and held it to calm him. He closed his eyes, and the moment he opened them, he said, "I'm sorry. Just... give me time to think. For now, let's deal with Denn."

Lucas and Martin nodded in agreement.

One of his people betrayed him... right now he's having a hard time... and he needs me.

**Xenon's POV**

Damn it! This is freaking madness! I'm sitting on the couch, massaging my temple, trying my best not to lose my temper.

Martin is an expert in weapons, and his place is the most dangerous yet the safest for us. It was surrounded by mines, and the only people who could go in and out were those with blueprints of the house, which only the Insigma Fighters, including Martin and Bryan, had—Bryan...

He must have given it to Denn. I didn't realize my hands had clenched in anger.

"Here..." I looked up to see Claire handing me a glass of water. My anger loosened for a moment after seeing her angelic face.

I took it. "Thank you," I stated and took a drink of water. After drinking, I put it down on the table and looked at her once again. "Come here." I offered my hand, and she took it...

Pulling her down to my lap, I felt relieved. This girl became my motivation after everything that happened, and I don't know what I could do without her.

"Thank you for staying beside me..." I softly whispered while gazing at our intertwined hands. Her warm hand gave me soothing effects that calmed my mind.

"You are always welcome," she said, biting her lips. I could feel the others watching us, but I didn't care.

Drena and Cassy, including Martin, were here waiting for Adrian and Coby. Stella and Lucas weren't here; maybe they're upstairs. Those two have gotten too close after our mission. And Jenna? She went to her doctor for a session. I'm glad that there are changes within her after she accepted the sessions; slowly but surely, she will completely heal.

Thanks to this lovely girl beside me.

"Hmm... do you like me that much?" I teased, trying to ease myself from the sudden events that happened today.

She immediately looked at me with her eyes wide from the sudden question that she did not expect. Suddenly, I saw her cheeks turning red, and she looked down.

I couldn't help but grin at her actions. I leaned closer to her ear. "Don't worry, it's our secret," I whispered.

I felt her squeeze my hand. "I—"

"Xen! Adrian called, they caught him." She was cut off by the sudden intrusion from Lucas. All of us looked at him with seriousness.

"How are they?" Drena immediately asked in worry for Adrian and Coby while Cassy patiently waited for an answer.

"Don't worry; they're safe and absolutely fine," Lucas answered in a soothing manner.

Suddenly, I felt cold when Claire stood up. I looked at her. "Go," she ordered.

I sighed. This is my girl; one word is enough to convey her message. Nodding, I stood up and walked toward the door.

"I'll go with you." I stopped and turned my back to face Martin.

"You're still wounded. It would be better if you stayed here," I stated.

"No, I have to see that bastard. This is just a piece of cake; I can handle it," he insisted with determination. I figured there was no stopping him.

He loves his place as much as he loves playing with girls.

I nodded and continued walking once again; Martin and Lucas followed behind me.

*****The moment we got out of the car, Adrian immediately approached me. "Xen, there is something you need to know. Follow me."

He went toward the warehouse while we followed him. When he opened the door, I saw Denn sitting in a chair, tied up.

"You bastard!" Martin advanced toward Denn, but Coby stopped him.

"No! Don't. You have to listen to him first," Coby said, holding Martin back and stopping him from making any moves.

"Listen!? After he destroyed my home!? Why would I? Let go of me! I need to teach that bastard a lesson!" he said angrily.

"Hold it, Martin. Let's hear him," I said as I walked closer to Denn, followed by Lucas.

"But..." Martin grumbled, but I ignored him.

Denn was beaten up, but not that bad. I bet they had a little chase to catch this rat.

"Spill it," I ordered, and he slowly looked up.

Seeing me, he smirked. "This life sucks."

His first sentence sucked.

"I know, now tell me. Why did you do it?" My voice was hard.

"To save my brother," he answered, matching my hard tone.

"But isn't your brother dead?" Curiosity filled me. Is this guy pulling some prank?

"I thought he was, but I can feel it. I can feel that he's still alive," he said, looking down.

"How is your brother related to your betrayal?" I asked sarcastically.

"There's no betrayal because from the first moment I did not work for you. Everything that I did was coming from Marco's orders."

I stiffened; he was sent by Marco to spy on us! Why did I only realize this now!? I was fucking played by this freaking devil!

I clenched my hand.

"See? Let go of me! I'll teach that bastard a lesson at once!" Martin yelled, trying to get out of Coby's hold.

"Just kill me..." he stated, still looking down, which caught all our attention and made Martin silent.
