**Cassy's POV**
I yawned and stretched my arms, feeling the comfort of the cushion. "Best sleep ever!" I exclaimed softly, as always, and giggled at my own actions.
Then I stood up, looking at the clock above the table: "5:00 AM... woah! I woke up too early..." I went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. After my morning ritual, I got out of the bathroom. *Grrrr!*
"I'm hungry. I'll go grab some snacks from the fridge." I smiled cheekily, thinking about the food I could eat. Hihihi!
I walked outside the room and went downstairs. Just when I reached the living room... "Oh my gosh! Aaahhhhhhhhh!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

**Xenon's POV**
"Aaahhhhhh!" My senses went into an abrupt wake as I immediately sat up. I looked to my side to see Claire sleeping so peacefully. I sighed in relief.
"Aahhhh!" That scream again!
"Oh shit!" I immediately got out of my bed when I realized who it was and ran downstairs, following Cassy's voice.
When I reached the living room, "Cas- Oh shit!" I was shocked to see Jake standing in front of Cassy, who was shaking in fear with her hands covering her face. "What happened to you?!" I asked Jake.
He looked more like a zombie!! Dark bags were under his eyes, his hair was a mess, and his eyes were barely open. His lips were slightly parted, and he wore his black garments.
"I'm... tired... I'll... go to sleep..." he said in a low voice, sounding like a pathetic zombie. Then he turned his body and went towards their room.
What made him so tired?
"No... please..." I turned to look at Cassy. She was still shaking in fear, her eyes closed and her face covered by her hands.
"Hey, it's okay." My voice sounded reassuring as I took a step closer to her. She slowly took her hands away from her face.
"Cassandra!! Are you okay?" I saw Coby running toward her at a fast speed. She slowly nodded when Coby reached her, examining her body for any signs of wounds.
"What happened??" he asked worriedly as he faced her.
"I... I saw a ghost..." Cassy murmured.
"It wasn't a ghost; it was Jake, who looks like one," I explained plainly as I turned my body and walked back to my room.
"Was it really Jake?" Cassy asked me for reassurance, using her soft voice. The rest of the Insigma Fighters also came, including Drena, with worry on their faces.
I stopped and faced her. "Yes. Seems like he worked hard all night," I stated and continued walking to my room, letting them talk on their own.
What did Jake do all night then??
Suddenly, a vision popped into my head. It was a memory from early this morning... a memory where Claire was kicking that... thing.
I shook my head and opened my door.
Just to see a beautiful lady lying on my bed. I smiled, watching her sleeping figure, but my smile suddenly disappeared... "When...? When will you tell me?" I asked more to myself in a very low voice, almost a whisper.
*******
"Ricky called earlier," I stated, which made Lucas, Adrian, and Coby look at me while Martin was busy flirting with Jenna in the far corner. "He said that those two men who died last night were spies of Degouti," I continued.
I saw their eyes flicker for a moment, and suddenly their eyebrows furrowed in curiosity.
"Spies of Degouti!? But... how..." Coby said in total shock and confusion.
"Do you... think they were spying on us?" Lucas asked hesitantly. "I got the news last time; they were looking for us. I'm sure it's for revenge."
"If they were after us, who killed them then?" Adrian asked, shifting in his seat.
"That's a good question. None of us made a move, and we were even ignorant of their existence!" Coby smiled in amusement at the impossibility.
"We don't know. Maybe..." I faced them once. "It was a coincidence that those Degouti were at the same place we were."
"I'm not comfortable with what's happening, Xen. Things are getting mysterious as fuck!" Lucas snapped.
"We're being followed by a mystery..." Adrian faced us in total seriousness, "and death." His words sank in my stomach as it churned, and my heart beat frantically. No way.
"Lunch!" Drena yelled from the kitchen, which broke the tension of our heated conversation.
"Coming!" Adrian yelled back and turned to look at me, asking for approval. I nodded, and they all stood up.
From the living room, we proceeded to the kitchen.
"Where's the Blue Fire Gang?" Cassy asked when she saw none of the Blue Fire Gang around. Shrugging, I said, "Maybe they're still sleeping."
They've been sleeping until now, which made me think of some reasons.
"It hurts. I was here, but you were looking for them," Coby pouted while walking towards Cassy. Cassy raised her eyebrows and then rolled her eyes.
"Maybe they were still having hangovers. They drank too much last night. I collected four cases of empty bottles earlier," Drena explained as she set the food on the table.
"I see... maybe," I nodded in understanding. Or maybe not.
*******
"Where the hell is Bryan!?" I asked; he's pissing me off!
"I called him; he said he's coming," Martin replied, upset.
We've been waiting for hours! We can't start the meeting without his presence. Bryan is one of my trusted men and also the most important one. He is working inside Marco's facility and leading all of our men from there.
Today is our meeting; this is the most important meeting that I've been preparing for many years. The Blue Fire Gang, Martin, my gang members, the rest of my people, and even Ricky are here.
Only one person is missing, and we can't start without him! Damn it!
We're in the living room, waiting impatiently for Bryan.
"Fuck! If he keeps us waiting, I'll definitely smash his face!" Coby exclaimed furiously. We did not let the girls join our meeting because we don't want them to get involved. This is our battle... my battle, and I don't want to lose Claire because of my fucked-up life.
*Boogsh!* We all turned towards the door and saw Bryan barge in, panting and with sweat all over his face.
"What happened to you?" My voice sounded pissed.
"I'm sorry; the Martinez Grey Academy is surrounded by Marco's people. I could hardly escape from their suspicious eyes," he explained apologetically.
I sighed. "It's okay; take your seat. You look so tired," I stated. My anger disappeared in understanding.
"You scared us, dude!" Martin said, patting his shoulder when Bryan sat beside him.
He shoved Martin's hand away. "Tch." Then he leaned on the couch and closed his eyes. He looked so tired and troubled.
What's wrong with him?
So many people are getting... confusing day by day.
My mind is full of curiosity and confusion that I can't do anything but... ignore it, or I'll go insane!
