Taylor grinned at her friends as she stepped up to open the door, letting them go in ahead of her. They were out at a nearby restaurant and after Taylor mentioned to them that she lived around the corner, up on the highest floor in a penthouse, they insisted on coming to check it out. At first, she didn't want them to, but Deborah ended up whining about how much she needed to pee after they left the restaurant, so Taylor either had to help her find a nice bush or let her inside her house. She chose the latter.

Deborah walked into the house first, eyes scanning her surroundings as she kicked her boots off beside the door, turning to smirk at Lilian who was right behind her. They were ogling the place, and a part of Taylor was flattered, but the fear of people using her for her money was still very vivid in her mind, not letting her relax for a second.

Taylor led them to the couches, urging them to sit down after taking their coats, going to hang them up onto the hanger close by. The girls made themselves comfortable on the couch instantly, and Taylor wandered over to the kitchen to get some snacks and soft drinks.

"What do you want to drink?" She called over to them, opening the cupboards in thought.

"Anything that's alcoholic will do it for me," Deborah stated quickly, making Lilian roll her eyes at her.

"I still need to meet up with mom later, so it would be better not to show up drunk," Lilian explained, leaning back in her seat.

"Alright then, orange juice? I don't know how Steve would feel if we drank it from him though." Taylor pondered out loud, opening the fridge to check on it.

"Steve?" Deborah piped up; her attention was captured right away.

"My roommate."

As if on cue, Steve walked down the stairs in a tightly fitted grey t-shirt and some sweatpants, indicating that he was going on his usual morning jog. Taylor was surprised he slept in, but she couldn't really blame him as it was Saturday. He was about to put his baseball cap on his head when he noticed the two strangers sitting on his sofa, staring at him with wide eyes.

Looking a bit uncomfortable, he looked over to Taylor, who stood in the kitchen with the orange juice carton in her hands. His eyes snapped down to it, making her smirk to herself.

"Relax, I'm putting it back," She winked, shutting the fridge door. "Going for a jog?"

"Yes," He said slowly. "And you?"

"I'm going to hang out with my friends a little," She motioned to the two girls. "Speaking of which, they are Lilian and Deborah. My friends from high school."

"Nice to meet you," Deborah grinned, waving to him. Lilian muttered a quick greeting as well, while Steve merely nodded back at them. He clearly wasn't expecting guests.

"Well, then, I'll be back in an hour or two." He put his cap on, turning to Taylor once more.

"Alright, bye!" She smiled at him, watching as he left through the front door.

The silence was only momentarily as Steve left the house, Deborah and Lilian turned to Taylor with wide eyes, both gaping as they waited for Taylor to start talking. She blinked back at them in confusion until Deborah stood up, her hands flying to her hips.

"How dare you not tell us about your hot-ass roommate?" She whisper-shouted, halfway climbing over the back of the couch.

"I mean," Taylor pursed her lips. "I thought I mentioned him once?"

"Yeah," Deborah huffed. "But not that he looked like this."

"Girl, are you really just roommates?" Lily joined the conversation, flashing Taylor a look.
