On the 12th of December was Maddison Stark's birthday, a day that both Taylor and Tony wanted to make unforgettable each year. Taylor started the day by preparing for a flight with Tony's private jet, packing her suitcase as she would be staying over for a few days. She felt bad that she had to leave Steve behind as he had gotten a call that someone he knew from the past might be alive, though her brother obviously wouldn't have welcomed him in their house in Malibu with open arms anyway.

Despite him not being able to attend the party for Maddy, he still bought a small present for her, asking Taylor to take it with her and give it to her as well. She thought it was a sweet thing for him to do, especially since he only met her niece once for a gaming evening.

Taylor had everything packed that she needed, just a small suitcase worth of stuff, mostly Maddy's presents. Having a bunch of her clothes still at the mansion despite her coming to live in New York, Taylor didn't pack a lot of things to take with her.

Steve was in the kitchen, drinking a cup of water as Taylor emerged from upstairs, placing her suitcase beside the door to finish getting ready. Her hair was up in a neat ponytail, her face mostly bare, with some makeup around her eyes. She shot Steve a smile as she tucked her yellow fitted t-shirt into her ripped jeans. He looked at her with a frown.

"Aren't you going to be cold?" He questioned at the sight of her, sipping some of his water as his eyes traveled down her body. Taylor shook her head at him, a smile making its way onto her lips because of the way he shamelessly checked her out. Or maybe he really was looking at her clothes, but she still liked it better to think more about it.

"I'm going home to Malibu you know. It won't be cold at all there." She grinned to herself, remembering the always warm weather. "Next time, I'm taking you with me, how about it?"

Steve smiled and gave her a glass of water as well, and she took a seat on the stool in front of the counter, gazing at him through her glass. She was a bit worried about him going to another state just to meet that mystery person who might or might not be one of the people from his past. She didn't want him to get disappointed.

"Can you drive me to the airport?" Taylor asked as she opened a text from Tony, saying that the jet was going to be landing there.

"You know I don't have a license, right?" He questioned back, crossing his arms over his chest. Taylor rolled her eyes at him.

"But you know how to drive, right?"

"Yes,"

"Then you can drive me. We can make sure you get a license after I come back." She winked, placing the glass into the sink. Steve was unconvinced, so she just sighed. "Then just come with me and drive my car back to the garage. I'm not going to pay that insane fee for that airport parking."

"Aren't you rich?" Steve mused with a playful look.

"I'm rich, but not silly enough to pay much more than it is reasonable just for me to park there." Taylor crossed her arms. "Who knows what they'd do to my baby!"

"By baby, you mean your car,"

"My favorite car."

"You have more?"

"Yeah. It's a private garage, only I park there."

"I thought it was public! There are at least five cars there!"

"Four and a motorbike."

Steve looked at her dumbfounded as she laughed, patting his shoulder as she walked past him. All she needed now was her handbag and she'd be ready to leave the house, hopefully not forgetting anything important.
