"Shadow?"
"What?"
"I love you."
"Mhm."
Sonic sighed. This was how it had been for a while now. The two used to be a great couple. They never fought, bickered at most, but now, Shadow almost never even spoke to him. He hadn't even told him he loved him in over three weeks. Sonic hated it. The only time he felt loved as of late was when they had sex, and even that didn't happen often anymore.
He didn't know if he did something wrong. If he did, he wished he would have told him.
"Are you... okay?" Sonic asked tentatively.
"Why?" Shadow grunted.
"Something just seems a little off, I guess." He sighed.
"I'm fine. Are you fine?"
He briefly glanced at his forearms; the arms he had used as a bloody canvas, with his dull blade as his paintbrush. He knew it was wrong - hell, he was the hero of Mobius - but he didn't know what else to do.
"Y-yeah I'm fine."
Shadow made a vague noise of approval, returning to his previous task. Sonic sighed.
This book was made up at about 1 AM and it was inspired "spit in my face" by thxsomch. I've also re-written this about 700 times. it started as a one-shot, then it became a book, then i wrote chapter 2 and chapter 1 magically dissapeared.
Edit (01/10/24): I am going back in and changing all the first-person chapters to third-person, as well as tweaking the writing. For new readers, welcome! I know this chapter is short, but it's a prologue of sorts. The chapters get longer as it goes on. Hope you enjoy!
