Rose Thorn Beast is the younger sister of Ben Beast, and princess to the kingdom of Auradon. There's only one tiny issue with that. Rose absolutely hates being a princess and refuses to act like something she's not. Rose is loud, sarcastic, brazen, and doesn't care what others think about her.
This causes a lot of people to bully her even if they're terrified of her beast-like temper. She doesn't feel happy or connected to Auradon, so when her brother brings over four kids from the Isle, Rose is ecstatic.
