"No. Impossible." My mother gasps, looking down at me and Ben who are too far from her to get to in time. She'd never make it to Ben, let alone me as I stand farther away with my friends. Ben is at least in between us and our parents.

"Go away mother." Mal tells her, tired of having to always deal with her. She just wants to be happy, but her mother would rather her be miserable. Maleficent looks at Mal and starts laughing.

"Oh, that's a good one. You're funny." She turns to my parents and FG who look at her, disbelief in their faces. They can't believe that the evilest woman alive is actually standing in front of them. "She's got a great sense of humor." She tells them sarcastically, before turning back to Mal. "Here. Wand me. Now." Maleficent demands her.

"No!" Ben shouts, jumping between Mal and her mother as Mal turns, throwing the wand to FG. FG catches it and spins to Maleficent. Who knew that we'd actually get to see a good versus evil show down like they did in the old days?

"Bibbidi-bobbidi-" FG starts to chant.

"Boo!" Maleficent shouts, causing everyone around us to freeze in place. How I didn't end up frozen, is a mystery. But a mystery for another time. Right now, we five have to take down the most powerful woman in the world. Maleficent starts laughing at everyone's frozen states and walks over to FG.

"Wanna be evil, like me. Don't you want to be mean..." Maleficent sings quietly to herself as she takes the wand out of FG's hand. "Someone needs to pluck their nose hairs." She pokes the inside of FG's nose with the tip of the wand. She then walks over to my parents and messes with my dad's hair, tilting his glasses on his face. She comes over to Ben and shoves the crown sideways on his head. "Falling in love makes you weak, Mal. It's ridiculous, and it is not what you want."

"Do you even know what I want? Have you ever asked me what I want? You have no idea what I want! I'm nothing like you!" Mal cries out to her mother exasperated. Maleficent doesn't even look at her. She continues to mess up people's crowns, and glasses.

"Of course, you aren't. I've had years and years of practice being evil, baby, you will get there eventually." Maleficent still hasn't looked at her, and it's starting to scare me. She must really be angry with Mal.

"No, mom. I will never get there, and I really wish you hadn't have gotten there yourself." Mal says, pitying her mother. This gets Maleficent's attention as she spins around to glare at Mal. Carlos flinches and grabs my hand. I squeeze his hand and grab Evie's too. "Love is not weak mother. It's actually really beautiful."

"Mal, I know one thing for a fact young lady, and that is that you have absolutely no room in your life for love!" Her mom snaps at her before flicking the wand up, causing Ben's ring to fly off of Mal's finger and onto it. Mal gasps and stares at her hand, devastated. I would usually have no problem punching those who bully others, especially my friends, but the woman has a scepter and the wand. I just have myself and no magic. I just have a beast's temper. Maleficent would incinerate me before I could try.

Mal looks at her mother as the woman starts laughing, finding humor in crushing her daughter's happiness. I know I usually defend the villains, but I can actually see why everyone hates this woman. I hate her too, and the fact that I can't do anything to her makes me hate her even more. Who does this to their own kid? How can she look at Mal's face and laugh when Mal looks like she was just shattered? Mal looks at her mother, then at the wand in her hand. Maleficent isn't the only one with magic.

"Now I command, wand to my hand." Mal shouts out, and the wand flies into her hand, surprising her. I don't think she actually thought that would work. She looks at the wand, then at her mother. We now have a fighting chance against the woman. We just have to keep the wand away from her and defeat her at the same time. Piece of cake.
