"So," Uma starts after I've calmed down enough for her to speak without having to scream. "Let me get this straight. We're saving your asses for a goddamn lie?! I knew I should have never trusted you! You've done nothing, but literally destroy my best friend and sister. You've hurt everyone that gets close to you, and now you're giving everyone false hope. You really are a monster, huh?"

"Uma-"

"You know, I used to think you were brave, Mal, but you're just a chicken who love to hurt people. First Audrey, then Rose, now all of your friends and everyone on the Isle. You're too scared to tell anyone the truth. That I'm never ever going to get to see my dad again." Celia cries before she grabs the Ember out of Mal's hand and throws it into the bird bath full of water.

"NO!" Mal screams and digs it out of the water while Celia takes off running into the woods. I would go after her, but I can't even feel my body anymore. I don't think I'll be going anywhere anytime soon with how heavy and dark I feel now.

"I honestly don't blame Rose for being so angry at you, Mal." Evie says to her, getting all of our attention. "She's the one you seem to enjoy hurting the most seeing as everything you do seems to affect her badly in every way possible. Do you even care about her happiness, or the fact that she's going to be your sister? Or do you just care about yourself, like your mother only cared about herself?"

Mal sobs at Evie's words, and I can only imagine how badly they hurt her. Evie had been there through everything with her, so the fact that even Evie hates her says something. Ignoring everyone for now, Mal is trying to chant and spell the Ember back to life, but it's not working. Looking up at Uma, Mal looks at her for hope.

"Oh, bummer." Uma says as she holds up her necklace that isn't glowing like she had told me it did before. "Come on. Let's go find Gil and go home. Leave them here to rot." Uma says, and I feel Harry lift me up off the ground.

"Come on, Beasty. I'll hold you when we get back to the ship." Harry says to me, and I start to cry again as I curl into his chest since he's carrying me.

"Take me home, Harry. Home to the Isle. I don't like it here." I whisper to him, and I ignore how Mal is yelling at us to come back.

The Gang

"Evie, please. You have to understand." Mal says, and Evie walks up to her. Jay can't even look at Mal, not after he watched Rose literally collapse to the ground in depression. He helped Mal do that to Rose, and he wants nothing more than to take it all back.

Carlos ignores Mal as he crouches down next to Dude. Mal had just killed whatever piece of Rose they had managed to get back is now gone forever. They'll be lucky if Rose ever even wants to see them again, let alone actually speak to them.

"Closing the barrier had been your idea? What about all those kids you left behind? We're their only hope, and you want to abandon them. What about Rose? You really don't care about anyone but yourself. How could you lie to all of us, Mal? How could you give us false hope, then rip it away like nothing happened?? We're supposed to be your family!"

"Evie-" Mal goes to step forward to try to fix what she had done, but lightning strikes the gang. A cloud of pink and green mist explodes around everyone, turning them all to stone except for Mal. "No..."

Mal sobs and claws at her chest as she feels the overwhelming weight of what she's done slam into her. From taking Rose away from the Isle to now. Everything slams into her, and she can barely breath past the crushing weight of darkness that nearly makes her fall to the ground. If this is even close to what Rose feels, then Mal can never make up for what she'd done.
