Chapter 10: Angry Pirate

On the Isle

Mal and the group had run all over the Isle looking for Harry, but they couldn't find him. They had searched the whole island, but it's like the pirate had just vanished into thin air. They had to stay in their old hideout because by the time they finished their search, it had been nighttime. None of them wanted to face Audrey or Rose at night, so they had decided to just stay the night on the Isle and go back in the morning.

As they make their way to the barrier, they keep an eye out for Harry, or even Gil. They needed Harry's help, but if they couldn't find him on the way to the barrier, they would have to go without him. None of them favor this idea, so they're all praying Harry makes an appearance.

Getting to the barrier, there's still no Harry. Steeling themselves with the fact that they'll have to take Rose down themselves with no hope of winning, Mal motions to Jay. He pulls out the remote control from his pocket and presses the button to open the barrier up for them. He'd stolen it as a backup plan in case the spell Mal would use didn't work for all of them.

The minute they walk through the barrier, magic instantly slams into Mal. Her hair gains blue highlights, and her eyes get a blue tint on top of the green. The Ember glows softly in Mal's hand, and the group admires their friend's brand-new look.

A series of thumps have them turning around to see Gil and Harry dive through the barrier right before it closes. Mal and Jay glare harshly at the two because they didn't really want Harry's help to begin with. Even if that meant dying at the hands of Rose.

Evie and Carlos, however, are buzzing with excitement and happiness because now they might just have a fighting chance. Harry and Gil quickly stand up to see that they made it through, and Harry couldn't be any happier.

"We did it, Harry! Let's go get Rose!!" Gil says, smiling brightly at his best friend. Gil had learned in the last few months to really watch his words. With no Uma or Rose to keep Harry in check, Gil has nearly ended up dead six times. Luckily, Harry knew that Rose would kill him if he hurt Gil.

"Hell, yes, we did. I'm coming for you, Beasty." Harry says before turning to look at the group. See, now Harry would start a fight, but he's been without his Rosie for way too long. The fight can wait because he wants to kiss his girlfriend like there is no tomorrow first.

Before he could take a step, Jay is quick to cut him off. Yes, Jay doesn't want Harry to be anywhere near Rose, but he still needs to warn the pirate. The Rose that's running around killing everyone isn't the Rose Harry knows.

"Get. The. Hell. Out. Of. My. Way." Harry tells Jay dangerously calm, scaring the living hell out of everyone on the bridge. They knew Harry would be just as angry as Rose, if not more. This isn't what they had in mind.

"Harry-"

"Jay. Move." Harry tells the boy, his hook coming up quick, and slicing Jay's face. "I will not tell you again." Jay flinches back, shocked that Harry would actually cut him. The group stands shocked while Gil looks ta the ground. Harry looks to be void of anything but insane anger.

Jay moves back, standing next to Mal as she looks at Harry in fear. This does not bode well for them. If he ends up joining Rose and Audrey, then all hope is lost. They have to pray that Harry doesn't want Rose to destroy herself, or they're screwed.

"Good choice." Harry snaps before walking forward, but Evie jumps in his way. Harry grows as he gets in her face. He knew that Evie hadn't been involved with kidnapping Rose from him because Dizzy had told him. She had explained that Carlos and Evie hadn't even known until it was too late.

"Harry, I know you want to see her. And believe me, I am the last person that would stop you-"

"Then why are you?" Harry says, a smile coming on his face though it doesn't reach his eyes. "You have one chance to explain to me, Blue. If you don't have a good excuse, then I'm killing you."
