The cool spring air hits me as my eyes flutter open. My body is splayed across the cold bed. I move my arms around feeling the other side empty. Lifting my head I see Xavier gone and just me alone in his room.

I grab my phone and check the time. 2pm. I slept through the morning I must've been so tired from last night.

I stretch hearing parts of my body crack, I feel new and happy. Yet inside it's like there's a empty void that only he can fill. Xavier must be working if he isn't home.

Last nights talk made me wonder if I made the right choice. people like us. He thinks me and him are the same, but he's wrong.
Xavier is cold to those he doesn't like for example me. But when he drops his mask for them few minutes he can be a loving human. Those few minutes are the memories I remember.

Him loving my body cherishing it, keeping me safe. He makes my heart beat differently that the butterflies in my stomach no longer fear him.

I get up and make his bed, I walk around his room and notice how he has nothing hanged on his walls and only on picture on his desk. It's a photo of him and his sister besides a hospital bed, kissing a womans cheeks who I'm guessing is his mum. They're all smiling especially Xavier I've never seen him this happy.

I think about the rare times I've seen him smile, moretime he's smirking because he will cause trouble or hes just impress by something I've done.

I go to my room and change out of his clothes. I put on a cream cotton lounge wear and clip my hair back with a few strands out.

I put on some sliders matching my clothes then apply mascara and blush.

Walking down the stairs, I see our butler Eli and call him over. "What can I do for you Mrs Lorenzo?" he speaks with formality. Eli has a strong accent and a few wrinkles here and there. His jet black hair with streaks of silver was combed back in style.

"Can you get me a cheese sandwhich please, I'll be in the backyard." I tell him before walking out.

The back yard wasnt as big as the one in Jordan but it was huge. There is a pool in the shape of a snake and a jacuzzi in one of the curves.

I walk to the edge of the pool and dip my toes in the water. I always loved to swim when we go on holiday. When my family and I went Italy, I remember diving into the water and not being able to float.

This lifeguard around my age saved me and the whole holiday I was obssesed with him. It wasn't that I liked him I guess I kinda liked how he saved me.

Eli comes out with my sandwhich and places it on the glass table. I sit as the sun shone down on me taking a bite of the sandwhich.

While I take in the beauty of Spain from my seat, Rosa walks out and sits by me. "Enjoying your day Mrs Lorenzo?" She says with a mockary tone.

I laugh and say, "Yeah it's a sunny day I'm liking this sandwhich whats there to hate?" I tell her crossing my ankles. "I'm sorry for not coming the other night Xavier stopped me." I say abit disappointed.

Her gaze wonders away when she says, "It's okay." I look at her, "Okay?" she was so happy to go out and she says its okay.

She scoots abit closer and says, "Well that night Ajax was outside my room." her tone was more sad. From what ive heard, Ajax hates her for no reason and he was spontaneously outside her room the night we're meant to go out.

"What happened?" I question her. She's about to open her mouth when we hear loud voices. "Let's party!!" A deep voice howls.

Rosa gets up on her feet and gives me a smile before going back to her side of the house. I then get up and walk inside.
