Eunmi stared into the eyes of her boyfriend, searching for something within them. Looking for comfort, for a sparkle, for a hint of a smile, for a sense. Though she got nothing. Nothing could reassure her as she stared into the empty pools of his hard gaze.
"Jinyoung... Is this about us?" She tried not to, but her voice quivered and she took a small step back from him. He quickly reached out and took hold of her wrist, blinking a few times at her. He could tell the truth, or he could keep her guessing. So he did what he had to, because he didn't want her to create scenarios.
"It's about us Eunmi. It's about all of this, it's about me not seeing you for three years, it's about my feelings."
"Are you breaking up with me?"
She froze as the bold words seemed to speak themselves, and Eunmi withdrew her hand. Staring down at her skin, she seemed to smile, shaking her head.
"It's fine, I understand. I was gone for too long, I was too distant, I wasn't here so you lost interest." Eunmi turned on her heel, blinking away the sudden wetness that were tears.
She had made her way to the door, when her arm was tugged backward again, and she bumped into Jinyoung's frame.
Neither of them spoke, just stood there. She gently leaned back into his body, liking the feeling she had missed out on for these years. Jinyoung didn't do much, just pulled her even closer, now so he had an arm around her waist.
"Never have I ever lost interest in you. You have been on my mind every single day, you are the reason I have started being mindful. You are my reason to be happy, I don't know why you think I would ever leave someone as special as you." His voice was sincere, thick with emotion, his facial expression soft. Luckily, hair shielded the girls face, as she frowned deeply. If she was his mindset, why was this a problem? Why were they having this talk?
Her chest tightened, and she turned slightly to look into his eyes. This time she found they were sparkling, damp with tears and she gasped shortly.
"Jinyoung...?" She whispered out, leaning forward in his arms and placing her hands on either side of his face. Her fingertips wiped away a few tears that managed to spill over, and she smiled. It wasn't forced, it wasn't large, it was just a smile a short smile. "Why are you crying beautiful?" She cooed at him, running her fingers through his hair slowly. Slow enough he could feel every touch and shiver down his spine from his scalp. His eyes softly fluttered close, his eyelashes kissing his damp cheeks like a shy butterfly.
"Because I don't want this... I don't want to wake up and realize my girlfriend is just going to bed, or that my girlfriend is halfway around the world. I don't want to realize that your gone so far away from me and I can't hold you." His voice trailed off, quite weak as Eunmi leaned into him.
"Please never leave me again. If you don't leave, we will be fine, we can both be happy."
"I won't leave."
She pressed her lips against his, her body responding automatically as he further moved into his embrace. Eunmi wrapped her arms lazily around his neck, letting his brush over her waist and pull her slightly closer. They both knew how much they missed it, the velveteen lips that belonged to either of them, or the warmth it gave the other. They both felt the same inside, they both realized they needed to be this close all the time.
"I'm sorry Jinyoung. I didn't know you felt that way." She whimpered, nudging her head into his neck and closing her eyes softly. The male shook his head, pulling her closer and kissing her hair gently.
"You look nice, you look really nice." He murmured, his eyes traveling down to look at her loose dress. Eunmi felt her cheeks heat up, and she slightly laughed. She hadn't noticed how much she missed this, and now she knew what she was skipping out on.
"Jinyoung? I love you..."
"I love you more."

I was sitting in my house, on the couch in the front room. Wiggling my toes around, I turned to look at the mirror just behind me. I looked okay, since I had already met up with Yugyeom I made an effort. Rolling onto my side, I fiddled with my hair, the strands messing themselves up. Jaebum said we would go to lunch today, so I was waiting patiently for him to call me. Cuddling with a cushion, i glanced down at my phone. Yugyeom was studying for class, but sometimes he sends me small sweet nothings. It made me smile, and now he sent me one talking about how he couldn't stop thinking about me. What a dork. I love him though, so I sent him back a heart.
My thoughts of my boyfriend were broken as I heard my doorbell ring. I hadn't ordered any food, so it wouldn't be the delivery man. I wish it was, because I'm a little hungry.
Just then I remembered, it was Jaebum. I jumped to my feet, my heart beating hard in my chest as I ran to the door. Opening it quickly, I peeked around it to see him. He looked nice, of course mature but I could still see that glint of adolescence in him. It made me smile, and then he smiled back at me.
"Yujin, hi. You look pretty." He whispered, glancing over me simply. I didn't think I looked very great, just a sweater and leggings, nothing fancy. Maybe he was complimenting me as a woman, and just generally saying I'm nice looking.
"Thank you, oppa." I spoke quietly, tucking hair behind my ear out of habit. He chuckled, and put his arms out.
"Well? Don't I get a hug?"
I brightly smiled, walking into his embrace and snuggling into his chest.
I shouldn't feel anything.
But it felt.
