"TSIREYA DITCHED me to go off somewhere with Lo'ak, ugh." Kiri groaned as she joined the awkward teens and sat down next to Tuseÿa.

The two still haven't exchanged any words, and it was still very awkward. Kiri could've sensed the tension from miles away.

She stared at both of them, her eyebrows slowly furrowing as she realized none of them had been listening.

She snapped her fingers aggressively making them turn her way in shock. Neteyam immediately rolled his eyes as he saw his sister, he really couldn't handle her attitude right now.

"Fuck that scared me." Tuseÿa held her hand against her chest to feel her racing heartbeat. Kiri laughed at the sight, "Should've listened to me then."

After easing the awkward tension that had been created earlier, Kiri wanted to to know the cause of it.

"What happened between you too?" Kiri questioned, which made Tuseÿa turn away again. She knew Kiri was going to ask questions, she always did.

There was nothing to say, because nothing happened. At least that's what Tuseÿa thought. Neteyam on the other hand was just silent, his head was completely empty.

Tuseÿa knew that Neteyam was not going to answer, so she had to take matters into her own hands and try to make them not seem suspicious.

Which was quite impossible considering that Kiri had already been onto them.

"Nothing." Tuseÿa sighed waiting for the subject to change so both of them didn't have to feel uncomfortable anymore.

"Come on guys, this was supposed to be a night to remember! Stop with the depressed faces and let's join the others." Kiri pleaded.

She was right, Tuseÿa wanted this night to be unforgettable. There was no reason to sit around and feel all dark. With a big sigh Tuseÿa stood up again looking down to the silent boy and then to Kiri who had a big smile on her face now.

"Fine, let's make this night unforgettable." She sarcastically spoke, she wasn't quite motivated to have any fun yet. But Tuseÿa was the one who dragged Kiri to this bonfire, so it was only fair for her to make Kiri have a great time.

"Yes!" Kiri squeaked standing up after Tuseÿa. She walked ahead of them and was already on her way to join the people that gathered around the bonfire.

The awkward teens were alone now again. And the silence that had been lingering between them before entered again.

"You don't have to come if you don't want to." Tuseÿa whispered because she was scared to say anything wrong.

The boy lifted his head up after looking to the ground for awhile. "I'll catch up with you guys later." Neteyam whispered back. Tuseÿa didn't know if his voice had a warm or cold tone to it.

"Is he mad at me?" She thought, but obviously didn't ask the question out loud, too scared of the answer that she might get.

"Okay." Tuseÿa nodded, her voice being almost impossible to hear. She turned around and ran after Kiri who had almost reached the bonfire.

Kiri and Tuseÿa sat down next to each other talking about the ocean as usual. Tuseÿa's eyes wandered through the people to search for her sister but she couldn't find her nor Tuk and Lo'ak.

"Do you know where my sister went?" She asked, slowly getting concerned. Tuseÿa had told her sister to not leave the bonfire so she prayed that her sister had listened to her.

"Yeah, she went for a swim with my siblings, she told me they were not going too far away though." Kiri replied while biting into a fruit she had collected.
